LEGO has post an update over on the LEGO Ideas blog about some of the upcoming sets that have been approved.
For the LEGO Ideas Adventure Time (21308) set, it was originally set for release on January 1 but they have decided to move up the release date to December 26. I should have me review of the set up in a few days so stay tuned for that.
There’s actually some news for the Apollo 11 Saturn V set. LEGO is finalizing the model design and it is expected to be released in mid-2017.
Finally for The Old Fishing Store, it is still being worked on by the designer and it is expected to be released in Fall 2017.

Would rather have had Adventure Time’s characters all represented in minifigure form instead of the brick form versions, they look alright, but figures are more my thing as a collector.
Not really interested in the Apolo 11 Saturn V unless it ends up having some unique or interesting pieces.
I still find it difficult to imagine the Old Fishing Store translating
well to Lego. Best people can hope for is if they drop the lighthouse
and the steps and just have the house with a bit of interior. Its just
too many pieces and was clearly designed more to show off the builder’s
design abilities than to be selected as a set.
As for the third 2016 review stage;
“The 1950’s Diner now joins Boat Repair Shop, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. “The Bus” Hulkbuster UCS, LEGO Store Modular Version, Red Dwarf, Landrover 4×4, and Vintage Tram as the projects that qualify the Third 2016 Review Stage.”
Red Dwarf, Hulkbuster and Agents Of Shield are all licensed themes that Lego probably has plans for already or has done before.
The boat repair shop is too similar to the fishing village.
The modular Lego store seems likely, but i doubt Lego would select it because it means splitting profits with a fan and i can see them making and releasing a modular Lego store themselves.
Only 1950’s Diner, Landrover 4×4 and Vintage Tram have a chance at being selected. Out of which the 1950’s Diner would need to lose the car, the landrover and tram would require a decrease in size/number of parts.
