LEGO’s next gift with purchase set for October has been revealed with the LEGO Magic Maze (40596). The build is basically a handheld maze that you control my moving the board around.

The maze has thirteen different zones that you have to navigate through to reach the end by holding the sides. You start off at the top left corner where you move the ball in a spiral to reach the underground section.

The underground part has a couple of openings in the middle for you to try to reach the exit which brings you to a speed bump section made of tan parts. If you angle it too much, you’ll most likely shoot past this area where you get to the small zigzag area.

Next up is a ladder/bridge area using some red containers and you have to jump the ball to the other side. Once you get there, you enter the beehive area which includes a printed bee tile.

Following that, there’s a blue seesaw in the industrial area where you have to position the ball on the rail or else it’ll fall through the hole.

At the bottom of the maze, there’s a spinner that head towards a narrow ramp to get to another railing.

The pink bumper area is next and the last spot you reach is the the green field with a sheep and printed ladybug tile.

The end of the maze is the shell on the bottom left. Next to shell are some rubber pieces to hold another ball in case you fail to finish the maze the first time around.

Overall, the LEGO Magic Maze (40596) is a fun little game that you can play anywhere like long car trips. The color palette pretty much covers all the main colors which are dedicated to their own zones. It is somewhat challenging your first few tries and you’ll most likely have the ball fly away because you tilted the maze just a little too much.

We still don’t know the price requirements to get it at this time but we do know that it’ll be launching on October 1.
