LEGO Marvel GOTG Rocket’s Warbird SDCC 2014 Exclusive

LEGO Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy - SDCC 2014 Exclusive - Rocket's Warbird

The Wall Street Journal has revealed one of this year’s San Diego Comic Con 2014 exclusive sets, the LEGO Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Rocket’s Warbird. The set will include 145 pieces and will retail for $39.99. Rocket Raccoon will have a different outfit than what he has with the Knowhere Escape Mission (76020), sporting the Guardians of the Galaxy outfit in this exclusive.

If you are going to be at SDCC 2014, be prepared to wait a long time in line to pick one of these bad boys up as these exclusives will be in limited quantities sold per day. There will also probably be a limit to how many that you can get. One of the bad things is the SDCC scalpers will be in full force hoping to make a profit on the sets and taking it away from real LEGO fans. I’m hoping to be able to pick up one of Rocket’s Warbird to do a review on after the convention. Thanks to Jim for emailing the report in.

That’s what the exclusives at SDCC usually go for. I’m not happy with the prices for them but hardcore fans will try their best to get them.

and only for 145 pieces , it will even cost more on ebay , i’m thinking 100 dollar , or 120 euro’s at least (ater 4 months)

      Yep!

So the only way to get the whole team in uniform is an SDCC exclusive. Lego has lost their minds.

      It’s a marketing tactic.

Its a marketing tactic that is causing me to return my GotG stuff.

I apologize for whining over this, but all I really wanted was the Milano and 5 main MiniFigs for display. But after buying the Milano ($75) and Knowhere Escape ($40) then thats already $115 and its not even a matching set since Rocket is in Orange and Groot is far too oversized.

(BTW. For those looking for a deal then Amazon has a Buy1 Get1 40% off deal on Lego’s and it includes the GotG sets.)

so nooow they lost their minds , they have lost their minds since the un-gettebale polybags (especially here in europe , because we don’t have walmart here ) and the comic con exclusive sets .

Ow man, that is going to cost an arm and a leg for us europeans…

    • Jari Van De Ven

finally someone has the guts to tell it !

  4. Jari Van De Ven

i will never get it , it’s very hard if you live in europe .
i’m a huge fan of marvel , i’m still searching for phoenix , black spider man , spider man 2 outfit and spider woman .
you should replace the “knowhere escape mission” with this on the brickipeia mission . Lego … yu have to give at least a limited time offer ( like the current ideas exo suit) for lego-shops

Who wants to get one for me? I’ll gladly pay for shipping and for your time in line*.

Lego needs to tell Comic Con attendees what their definition of “exclusive” is: http://www.neoape.com/lego-guardians-of-the-galaxy-rocket-raccoon-polybag-availability-update/

    • Allen

We’ve been reporting about this polybag the past week giving multiple updates before neoape.

Releasing the same exact figure with the same “exclusive outfit” 4 months later again, makes the SDCC version a FRAUD no?
