Thanksgiving is only a week away and to celebrate the holiday, LEGO has released the LEGO Seasonal Pilgrim’s Feast (40204). The set contains 163 pieces and normally retails for $9.99 but you can get it for half off on Shop@Home and at the LEGO Store. The contents of the box include three un-numbered bags and the instructions.

The build is pretty simple and like the set names states, it features a chubby pilgrim stuffing his face with some turkey while sitting on a a pumpkin. The legs are are hinges so they can be separated depending on what sitting position you want him at. The arms are on ball joints and they have a wide range of motion while each hand is holding a turkey drumstick. The head does not move and to me, he has a derpy expression. Some may say he looks creepy but I think it looks fine. One thing to note that the nose uses a 1×1 round tile in tan which is pretty rare since it is only available in two other 2016 sets.

Overall, I think the LEGO Seasonal Pilgrim’s Feast (40204) is one of the better Seasonal sets that LEGO has released this year. Combine that with the lower price the set goes for now, it’s a good one to pick up.

While I would always prefer a Minifigure vignette seasonal set, I absolutely love this pilgrim set. Calling this year’s seasonal sets “creepy” is about the most hackneyed LEGO commentary these days. It was fun to build and yes, you get a very rare piece (and an extra!)
Maybe my favorite aspect of this set, though, is the picture on the box where the big fella seems to be seat-dancing and whistling. Cracks me up every time I see it.
Definitely my favorite small seasonal set this year. Although the elves are very cute.
It just doesn’t look good at all. It’s kind of creepy (it is) and just not well designed. The face looks horrible and if LEGO continues to make these they need to finally address the horrible little arms these things get. The Santa looks good but once again the arms aren’t!
Put me in the this-gives-me-nightmares crowd. I wouldn’t even consider buying any of these — the vampire, the pilgrim or the elves — for a kid and I guess that’s what’s happening around the country if the pilgrims are already on sale before Thanksgiving.
Hope Lego gets the message that these tortured attempts at anatomy are more appalling than entertaining.
The elves, though, may at least be an opportunity to pick up some cheap sale priced bricks in useable colors after Christmas.
