World of Games has posted set listings and official images of the 2018 LEGO Star Wars sets which is probably the most anticipated theme. The Microfighters are returning and there’s some new two packs for them. Also coming back are the Buildable Figures which look very nice. The main thing in this wave are the Star Wars: The Last Jedi sets so read on if you’re not afraid of spoilers read on but I’ll hide the images behind the spoiler tag just to be safe.

That’s one I was really looking forward to as well.
I must say that these are overall disappointing. I don’t care for the buildable figures or microfighters, and the Grievous set appears to be Lego-original. The only remaining sets are the battle packs, the island training, and the Crait set. I was expecting a few more bigger sets this wave…cough cough geonosian arena, jedi temple, theed palace, bespin, dagobah, jabba’s palace, starkiller base, canto bight, classic x-wing, cough cough.

Lots of stuff for me to be excited about, but I guess it’s the gripes that get more specific! I can’t believe that they didn’t tool a unique piece for the porgs. These brick built ones just look too big and too clunky. Also, I think I’m all set with my Darth Vader from the original buildable figures. Kind of neat how they have the helmet going over Anakin’s head…but I think the proportions might be a challenge now. Plus, my “rule” for buildables is to avoid anything with a human face…saves me some $

Are you joking? All of the last jedi sets were overpriced, and we don’t have prices on these yet-not to mention the $800 MF, the $500 death star, and $15 battle packs.
Since I already own both UCS MFs, that’s not an issue. Since I own the first DS playset, I’m not really sure I have any reason to buy the tweaked version. And since I listed all of maybe $100 worth of sets that I’m actually interested in buying from this wave, I stand by my statement. Well, maybe I want a Porg or two so I can have George roasting them over a campfire or something…
