We received some new preview images from DK of their upcoming book, LEGO Star Wars in 100 Scenes. This 216 page book recreates some of the most iconic scenes from all six Star Wars movies using sets and minifigures while throwing in some humor to retell the scenes. You can learn more about some of the LEGO sets in the scenes as well as facts from the movies. LEGO Star Wars in 100 Scenes will be available on April 7 but you can pre-order the book now on Amazon
.

This seems like good book for collectors and lego fans who haven’t watched star wars, or want to see it in lego format. I think that the artists who put together the backgrounds did well, but the scenes could use a bit more lego. Just sayin’
wish they had some select scenes from The Clone Wars
The dialogue is amusingly silly but if these preview images are
representative of the entire end product then I’m sorry to say your money could
be better spent elsewhere honestly. The backgrounds, minifigures, and builds on
each page are stock photos LEGO has used for their website and across the cover
of the set’s boxes. In short this looks to be a fancy ‘crop & paste’
clipart job with some random text popping up.
The idea is a nice one and had this book been filled with pictures of
actual physical diorama MOCs large or small similar to those impressive
displays at the Brickfairs, it would have been a winner. Unfortunately this
appears to be a simple cash grab.
