For those who are collectors of the LEGO Star Wars Planets sets in the United States, FBTB is reporting that Series 4 of the fairly popular sets will not be released here in the States.
The second wave of 2013 LSW planets are no longer launching in the US. They will be available in other global countries, however. As you know, some markets carry slightly different collections depending on their market dynamics, so the strategic decision was made not to launch them in the US.
However, you can still pick up the Snowspeeder & Planet Hoth (75009), B-wing Starfighter & Planet Endor (75010), and Tantive IV & Planet Alderaan (75011) through Bricklink, eBay, or Amazon
but at a bit higher prices due to them not being available in the States. If you have contacts in Canada, maybe they can help out since the sets are available there as well. The Planet sets are the final wave for the LEGO Star Wars theme as they are being replaced with the Microfighters line in 2014.

burns me up. been waiting for those for almost a year now. loved paying $25 shipped from amazon for the hoth/snowspeeder. I can see stores not wanting to carry them, fine. but, come on, lego’s online shop should offer them.
Yea, many people are upset of this decision by LEGO.
It figures, the best looking series of Planets and no go here in the US or Canada. Like geisterhaus stated, Lego could have at least offered them from their online webstore.
I heard they were available in Canada. Yea I’m not sure about their decision of not offering them on Shop@Home. They didn’t have to stock them in stores but could still ship them from distribution centers.
I remember seeing pictures around the beginning of the year of someone in Canada finding a couple of Series 4 already in stores (wierd) and I think I have heard some finding them now in physical stores there, but I can’t find the Series 4 sets on Shop-at-Home for Canada at all.
Ah well, I was mostly looking forward to the B-wing Starfighter because of the exclusive pilot. The Tantive IV had some nice parts and the Snowspeeder looked like a great minibuild. If Lego does release the B-wing Starfighter pilot in another set sometime in the future, I suppose I can forgive them. 😉
