Next up on my reviews of the 2023 LEGO Super Mario sets, we check out the Ice Mario Suit and Frozen World (71415). It has 105 pieces and retails for $24.99.
Mario gets a new suit in this set with the Ice Suit. You get his cap as well the lower half of his body. These pieces are a lighter blue than his original outfit so you can differentiate between the two.
The layout of the Frozen World isn’t too big but there’s enough things to do around it. The beginning of the course has an ice plate that Mario jumps on to launch Cooligan into the ice block which releases the frozen Goomba.
Cooligan is a penguin-like creature that has some printed sunglasses on the slope piece. There’s a sensor tile on its back for Mario to jump on to get some coins.
The Goomba is the usual one we’ve seen before and it has the printed face tile on the front and the sensor on the top.
On the other side of the course, there’s an ice plate for Mario to slide on and he makes a sound when he does.
At the end, there’s a spot for the Ice Suit for Mario to go get.
Overall, the LEGO Super Mario Ice Mario Suit and Frozen World (71415) surprisingly has more playability than what the piece count shows, however, he price point is high for what you get. I have a feeling that a lot of the price went into the cost of thee Mario Ice Suit.
Thank you to LEGO for sending in this set for me to review. The content above represents my own opinion and not the company. Review sets sent in does not guarantee a positive review.
