Don’t care for those fig packs, a big step back from the micro builds the past few years. BUT I see on that calendar pic on Oct. 1 we have another indication of the Caterham Ideas set release date. Can’t wait for that!

I hope it hurts them BIG in their bottom line for Christmas.

The mini village was sensational and priced to cover their costs whether they were purchased outright or acquired by virtue of other purchases. These minifigs are so stupid and sh*tty, by contrast, that there’s simply NO WAY they’re any kind of substitute.

I think they need to change the name to BOREtober.

Surprise surprise a company wants to reduce costs.. The only set I am interested in would be the first one as it has two pieces not easily found in BaM selections at LEGO stores (where most of the parts for these figures came from it seems), the fro and the blue hair.. I believe the rest you can get from a LEGO BaM selection if you are near a store.

But those mini building sets were priced to cover their costs AND turn a profit. I think I remember paying $20 for them last year. Plus, they sold out of every set but the train station

Meanwhile, if most people got them free by spending $75, given how TRU jacks the price of things up, that must have at least covered their cost for the sets.

So I don’t see that they accomplish much by dropping them. They were the only thing that could get me inside a TRU.

PS Blue hair is in the BaM at the Lego near me right now.

I think I would have been more jazzed about the mini mods if they were designed to meet up with the mini mod VIP set that LEGO released of the first 4 modular type sets. Be that as it may, one of my nephews really liked those min modular type sets and was trying to get them, and mecifully some TRU still have the models from the year before on their shelves. As for the blue hair, my GF said that she happened to find one but did not let me know as I probably would have built a few figures with those. Now if they just could get in the afros in the BaM bins

Yes, I can understand why their incompatibility with Lego’s minis could be a concern. Wasn’t for me since I couldn’t afford the secondary market price for them. ::sigh::

Lucky find to get the first TRU minis! I paid a secondary market price for them. But, happily, it wasn’t too painful.

Do check the Lego Build a Minifig bins. There’s blue hair in there just now. Not sure about the Afro hair but I bet it will turn up eventually.

Pretty lazy assortment of Minifigs, but I had zero interest in the mini-buildings, so I guess I’m at least slightly more likely to buy these, but probably only on sale.

look more like a trashy euro pop group than musicians. the warriors set looks the best to me

Looks like garbage to me. Mini buildings last year looked better to me.
