There are now a few more images of The Simpsons LEGO episode “Brick Like Me” that come directly from the physical copy of TV Guide. We can now see more characters from the show including the whole family as well as Principal Skinner and Nelson Muntz. These images are in addition to the ones we seen on the cover and from Entertainment Weekly. Thanks to Bill Kuchman from Popculturology for the heads up.

they look like they belong in the ”money for nothing” video.
seriously though…am i the only one thinking that this style wouldve been more ”Lego”. new hairpieces rather than 16 full new headsculpts.
dont get me wrong…i like my Krusty to be fully 3-D, but it just seems more cost effective to have been more like the episode.
These look more like the ones from the CUUSOO project and seem closer to regular Lego minifigures.
I was thinking the same thing, didn’t make sense that they would have this Simpsons episode just as they were bringing out a new minifig series that look nothing like these lego depictions. But then after thinking about what it would be like to have included the full-head-mold versions in the TV show, it may have not looked very lego at all with the exception of all the studs on everything. Wondering if that was the thought here or if they started production on this episode long long ago
Good points. It does take some time to create a single episode but the choice for them to have Lego-esque heads instead of what Lego had done could have more to do making them actually appear different altogether otherwise they would just look like somebody had stuck their original heads on top of a minifigure torso.
I always prefer minifig heads to sculpted heads. But the faces on these minifig heads look a little generic. The Simpsons faces lose something when looked at straight-on. The smiles are too generic. It works for an episode of the Simpsons that’s trying to make the characters look like the plain Lego minifigures, but I don’t love it for a minifigure that’s trying to look like a Simpsons character (if that makes sense).
