It looks like there will be a new LEGO Brick Calendar (40172) that is now being sold over at the UK. Margaret_Bricks over on Instagram has posted images of the front and back of the box. The main difference between this Brick Calendar and the previous one is that the numbers are now brick-built instead of being printed bricks.
No word on availability yet here in the US but I assume it will be available at LEGOLAND and at LEGO Stores in January.

Do you have to change this one every day? And it doesn’t tell you the day of the week?
The old one was a lot better.
You just have to tilt the cubes. I think this is way more clever and decorative than the previous one.
It looks a lot cooler for sure, but it’s functionality it’s really very useless. What if you go to bed and forget to rotate the cube? Then you need to check on your phone to make sure you did.
It’s really not on the level of tragedy you’re making it out to be.
Ummm… it’s a LEGO set, it’s not a tragedy at all. It’s just really really useless, even for a LEGO set.
Gotta get this for the Mr. Bean minifigure!
Will it be as silly expensive as their stationery items were?
Is cool dose.
