Hey Allen, you may want to note in your post that the 80% and 70% discounts on Amazon are for Prime members only. You must be registered with Prime to get these discounts.
Updated but I’m sure readers know that these discounts are for Prime.
I didn’t, so… 😛
Its almost as if charging about half the cost of a game for a minifigure, a small build and a single level of a game might not be the best business strategy :L
Hehe but its good for us consumers no?
With Doc Brown targeted towards adults, Ghostbusters being a flop, BvS performing badly and Doctor Who not on air until next year this wave wasn’t particularly well timed for maximum engagement.
Or they need to clearance out the stuff everyone has to make room for the new. 😉
@DB4:disqus, true – however i feel that this will just get people to avoid buying the new wave of sets upon release as now they know they’ll get 80/70% discounts when the next wave arrives. Given all they really offer is a single new character and a new level, its not really a rush to get them.
True. However the packs have been 40-50% all the time since their release, and I still haven’t seen Wicked Witch for more than 50% off, or Marshmallow guy for less than $9. This 80% off sell is because Target.com is a little screwy and took 40% off a half off price. In store they were only 40% off which is common for video game toys like this.
I bought three more Cyberman after price matching at Target, saved another 5%.
Just went to Amazon and not seeing the discounts. Have they ended?
Looks like you just missed out on it.
