A few months ago, I talked about one of upcoming books for The LEGO Batman Movie called The Making of the Movie. If you’re thinking about picking it up, the Amazon pre-order for it is currently on sale for 21% off the retail price. The Making of the Movie takes a look at the behind the scenes stuff for The LEGO Batman Movie which I think is very interesting. The release date for the book is February 14 so if the price goes lower than it is now, you’ll pay the lowest price between now and then.

LEGO Ideas The Blues Mobile Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Blues Mobile by Kai Einfeldt is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. It is also the first project to reach the goal in the First 2017 Review Stage.

If you’re not familiar with The Blues Mobile, it is based on the famous Dodge Monaco that was featured in the 1980 film The Blues Brothers. It is stated that the scale of the car is similar to the Ecto-1 and includes many details such as the large speaker on the roof of the car and an opening trunk. There are also minifigures of the Blues Brothers proposed as well.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Trailer Reported to be Coming Next Week

The British Board of Film Classification has released details about The LEGO Ninjago Movie trailer and that means that the first trailer will be dropping very soon. The trailer will run for 2 minutes and 23 seconds and according to my source, it might be coming as early as next week.

Our friends at PromoBricks has posted an image of The LEGO Ninjago Movie from the Nuremberg Toy Fair over on their Instagram and in the comments, they also stated that the first trailer will be coming next week which correlates to the information that we got.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie will be premiering in theaters September 22 and it will be in the same universe as in The LEGO Movie and the LEGO Batman Movie but not in the same continuity as in the animated TV series.

In this big-screen Ninjago adventure, the battle for Ninjago City calls to action young Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret warriors and LEGO Master Builders. Led by kung fu master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, the Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their true power.

There will be a series of exclusive events at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Manchester taking place from Friday 10th February to Sunday 12th March.

Visitors can come meet Gotham City’s caped crusader in LEGO form and have a picture taken with the scene-stealing star. Activities also include a themed scavenger hunt and LEGO Batman™-inspired LEGO builds with our Master Model Builder, Alex. No extra ticket required!

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the new Wave 8 expansion packs for LEGO Dimensions including The Goonies Level Pack (71267), the Hermione Fun Pack (71243), and LEGO City Fun Pack (71266). LEGO Named 2017 World’s Most Powerful Brand

Brand Finance has released their yearly Global 500 rankings and LEGO has regained their position from Disney as the world’s most powerful brand. This is based on a number of factors including brand “familiarity, loyalty, promotion, marketing investment, staff satisfaction, and corportate reputation.”

LEGO has been working towards the top spot for many years from Jørgen Vig Knudstorp who took the company from the brink of bankruptcy to The LEGO Movie a few years ago which gave LEGO the world’s most powerful brand in 2015. Combine that with the upcoming The LEGO Batman Movie and it’s predicted impact as well as more movies coming out in the next few years including The LEGO Ninjago Movie in September, The LEGO Movie Sequel, and The Billion Brick Race will continue to build its brand power.

LEGO March 2017 Store Calendar Promotions & Events

The March 2017 LEGO Store Calendar is now available and we now get to see what promotions and events that will be happening during the month. A lot of new sets will be available including LEGO Star Wars, Super Heroes, Elves, Ninjago, Technic, Minecraft, and the BrickHeadz.

March 1-15: FREE LEGO City Police Helicopter with purchases of $35 or more, while supplies last.

March 4 & 11: LEGO Disney Beauty and the Beast Building Event. The build will be Belle’s Castle which kids can build at the store and take home. Sign ups are happening now.

March 6-16: Double VIP Points are back for VIPs on any purchase.

March 7-8: VIP Monthly Mini Build is a Platypus.

March 16-31: FREE LEGO DUPLO My First Fish with any DUPLO purchase, while supplies last.

March 17-31: VIPs get early access to an exclusive LEGO set. It is highly likely that it will be pirate ship based on LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Also note that it states sets, so that implies there’s more than one D2C set coming out in March.

March 18 & 25: LEGO Life Meeting.

March 21 & 28: Technic Tuesday.
