More LEGO Star Wars Winter 2017 Rumored Sets

LEGO Star Wars Rogue One

A few weeks ago, LEGO officially revealed the lineup for the LEGO Star Wars: Rogue One sets that will be released on Force Friday, September 30. As you may have noticed from the Buildable Figures sets, there are still some main characters that haven’t been featured yet. There’s now a report from CM4Sci on Eurobricks of the names of the Buildable Figures that coming next year:

Shore Trooper (75523)
Chirrut Imwe (75524)
Baze Malbus (75525)

He has also mentioned some more Microfighters which will be Rogue One related including the U-Wing, Krennic’s Shuttle, TIE Striker, and an iconic Star Wars ship. Also, the last of the system sets is rumored to be some sort of bunker battle and another iconic Star Wars ship.

You can probably start guessing what ships that are implied to be iconic but the the list isn’t very long if you’ve seen the movies.

Update: CM4Sci has stated that the iconic ship is the Y-Wing.

Leicester Square LEGO Brand Store Opening in November

LEGO Leicester Square Mascot Lester

It was announced today on Licensing.biz that the UK’s new flagship LEGO Brand Store in Leicester Square will open on November 17. The store will be the largest LEGO Brand Store in the world covering more than 914 square meters over two floors. You’ll have the usual things from other LEGO stores such as building areas and a Pick-a-Brick Wall. One of the sights to see there will be a large version of the Big Ben made from more than 200,000 LEGO bricks and will have an illuminated working clock face.

The thing that fans have been wondering is if there will be any exclusives for the Leicester opening. You won’t have to worry as there will be an exclusive minifigure which will be the store mascot, Lester the tea-drinking minifigure. There’s no word on how to get it but there’s a report saying that it might be available for purchase but it could just mean that it’ll be available with purchases of a certain amount.

Of course, none of this affects individuals who aren’t near the UK but if you’re heading there in November, you may want to swing by the opening. Now to get my hands on that LEGO Lester minifigure somehow…

LEGO Storage & Display Solutions from Brick Innovations

Today the folks over at Brick Innovations has launched a new Kickstarter featuring their whole product line of LEGO storage and display solutions including building tables, cabinets, and display shelves.

Brick BOSS Table

Brick Build, Organize, and Storage Solution (BOSS) Table combines both a building table as well as a brick storage solution in a single cabinet. There are four extra large drawers that were “designed to be shallow, allowing all the bricks to be seen at once.” Each drawer is equipped with the LEGO drawer knobs and can fit 20,000 bricks. There are also 8 dividers included to create 12 sections.

Brick BOSS Table Executive Edition

Similar to the regular Brick BOSS Table, the Executive Edition has extensions on either side of the table which allows more building space. It can be used with chairs (not included) if you desire.

The Brick Showcase Cabinet

The Brick Showcase Cabinet allows you to display your LEGO creations in an organized way. There are pull-out drawers for easy access to the content.

Minifigure Shelf

The Minifigure Shelf allows you to display your minifigures with minimal space. There are official LEGO plates which come in a variety of colors. As you can see from my image below, it can easily fit 16 minifigures (not included) but you can probably put more on with some tinkering. The wood seems pretty sturdy and the minifigures sit pretty comfortably on it. Wall mounting hardware is also included so you don’t have to worry about getting your own but I didn’t get any … Continue
