I’m little bit late because of TwitchCon but here’s the September 2016 Monthly Recap of LEGO news on The Brick Fan. This list will be a fairly long one as there were a lot of news and reveals that happened during the month.
LEGO Star Wars: Rogue One Sets Officially Revealed – LEGO officially revealed all the LEGO Star Wars: Rogue One that are now available for purchase.
Earlier today, LEGO over on their Facebook Page as well as Time has revealed three of the new LEGO DC Super Hero Girls sets. These three sets will be debuting at New York Comic Con this week and will be available on Cyber Monday, November 27. There are also three other sets which will be available starting in January and hopefully we’ll have pictures of those by the end of the year. Those sets include Lashina’s Action Rider (41233), Bumblebee’s Helicopter (41234), and Wonder Woman’s Dorm (41235).
As suspected, the characters will be in minidoll form but they don’t look as bad as some expected them to be. What do you guys think of the set you’ve seen so far? Let us know in the comments.

LEGO Dimensions has just revealed the first look at the Sloth minifigure from The Goonies Level Pack. We’ve seen images of him but we can now see the actual minifigure itself. As you can see, Sloth has on the Superman tank top with the red suspenders and gray pants. It also looks like the top of his head is a separate piece from the head piece. What do you guys think about the LEGO Dimensions Sloth minifigure?
Here’s some interesting news which comes from my friend Alex about some LEGO Dimensions exclusives for GameStop at Black Friday 2016. He overheard an employee mention that the Supergirl (71340) and Green Arrow (71342) promotional polybags will be exclusives during the shopping event.
As we all know by now, the two minifigure polybags have been pretty rare so far as Supergirl has only been available through the PlayStation 4 Starter Pack as a timed exclusive and the Green Arrow has been given away at various conventions like SDCC, E3, and recently at TwitchCon.
As always, take this piece of news as a rumor until it is confirmed by the GameStop Black Friday ad which should be coming out very soon in which I’ll do an updated post about it.
The new LEGO Ideas Caterham Seven 620R (21307) is now available for purchase on Shop@Home and on Amazon. This latest Ideas set was submitted by Carl Greatrix and was eventually approved to become an official set.
I’ve already done my review of the Caterham Seven 620R (21307) so you can check that out if you want but I do recommend picking up the set.

The FREE exclusive LEGO Holiday Countdown Calendar (40222) is now available on Shop@Home with purchases of $99 or more until October 25, while supplies last. As you can see from the image above, it is LEGO’s own proprietary advent calendar which contains 250 pieces and the parts are used to build and rebuild 24 different creations.
The LEGO Holiday Countdown Calendar (40222) will also be available at LEGO Brand Stores but if you don’t have one nearby, I suggest placing your order online quickly as I’m sure this set will be out of stock before October 25. Plus since it’s the new month, you will also get Double VIP Points with your purchases.
Force Friday 2016 is here but not without the hiccups. Technically, the event started at midnight EST/9pm PST but knowing how LEGO Shop@Home runs even with the new design didn’t satisfy customers. For those who were patiently waiting to make a purchase online and get the Darth Revan minifigure, I’m sorry to say that that promo may have ran out. Keep in mind that the Rogue One sets weren’t even available yet at this time which was a double bust. At of this writing at 8:00am PST, the Rogue One sets are now available with Double VIP Points but no Revan. Your best chance to score one is at the LEGO Store, if you have one nearby.
Clearly, LEGO screwed up big time with this promotion and I’m pretty sure there will be a lot of unhappy fans who were waiting to pick one up. I’ve read that some people already had issues last night making their purchases with them not going through or placing multiple orders, which probably took up some of the Revan inventory. I love LEGO but these issues with the site, especially during promotional times, need further internal testing. Were any of you successful in getting Revan before they ran out?
