Disguise to Produce Official The LEGO Batman Movie Costumes

Earlier today, it was announced that The LEGO Group and Warner Bros. will be partnering up with Disguise to produce official exclusive The LEGO Batman Movie costumes. The costumes will be released in January 2017 and includes characters such as Batman and Batgirl. Check out the full press release below.

Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, to create children’s Halloween costumes and everyday dress-up based on the popular LEGO® Batman™ and LEGO® Batgirl™ characters from the highly anticipated feature film from Warner Bros. Pictures and LEGO System A/S, The LEGO Batman Movie, opening February 10, 2017. The multi-year, multi-category agreement grants Disguise rights to distribute The LEGO Batman Movie-inspired costumes across channels in North America, Europe, Mexico, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today the release of six new LEGO Dimensions expansion packs based on the blockbuster franchises: Ghostbusters, Adventure Time, Mission Impossible, Harry Potter and The A-Team. This newest wave of expansion packs introduces Battle Arenas, a first for LEGO videogames, and Story Packs which provide a complete movie-based gameplay experience with a fresh LEGO brick building experience.

The new Battle Arenas offer competitive split-screen local gameplay for up to four players. LEGO minifigures included in expansion packs come with special, golden Toy Tags which unlock a Battle Arena within the free play Adventure World of the corresponding entertainment brand. Each Battle Arena has four exciting gameplay modes: Capture the Flag, Objective, Base Bash, and Tick, Tag, Boom!, and comes with its own traps, defenses, and special powers that make every Battle Arena unique. The new Toys R Us ad for the week of 9/25-10/1 is now available and as I expected, the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens First Order General (5004406) minifigure polybag will be available for free with purchases of any LEGO Star Wars set of $30 or more. This offer is only available in stores and if you have a lenient one, you can probably purchase it by itself for $4.99. If there’s any left over by next Sunday, they’ll be available for purchase regularly. If you can’t find it, they’re probably hiding behind the counters. The TRU item number for the polybag is 553205.

LEGO Ideas Caterham Seven 620R (21307)

It was December 4, 2014 when Carl Greatrix submitted his Caterham Super Seven project on LEGO Ideas. Fast forward to May 2015 when the project hit 10,000 supporters and was approved to become an official LEGO Ideas set a year later. The Caterham Seven 620R (21307) was announced last week and the folks over at LEGO has sent us a review copy of the set. Coming at 771 pieces and retailing for $79.99, it is the largest Ideas set in terms of piece count as well as being the most expensive one to be released so far. The contents of the box include six numbered bags and the instruction booklet.
