If you’re a fan of the LEGO building events at Toys R Us stores, mark your calendars. On Saturday, May 7 from 12-2pm, there will be a LEGO Star Wars Master Your Force event happening which includes a clue hunt and building an exclusive mini Millennium Falcon. Canadian residents will have their event on April 30. Thanks to Daniel for the heads up.

Blocks Issue 19 Press Release

Issue 19 of Blocks magazine is now with subscribers, and on shelves from today (Thursday 21st April).

This month, we pit Captain America against Iron Man in our Civil War cover feature, as six brilliant builds go head-to-head in the superhero showdown of the century.

Continuing the Marvel-lous theme, Daniel Konstanski dissects every LEGO Quinjet so far, while MOD Squad member Chris Wight shows us how to improve the latest version. Our Civil War coverage is rounded out with reviews of the latest sets and an exclusive interview with TT Games head honcho Arthur Parsons, who talks all things LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 May the 4th Shopping Event Details

The 2016 LEGO Star Wars May the 4th shopping event is next week and LEGO has teased more details about the promotion. We already knew about the exclusive minifigure for this year with the First Order Stormtrooper (30602). It is available free with purchases of $50 or more on LEGO Star Wars products.

There is also the Double VIP Points on all LEGO Star Wars purchases which is always nice.

What we didn’t know about is the free LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens theatrical poster. The image is a direct recreation of the official poster using LEGO minifigures and builds. The only downside that I suspect about it is that it’ll be folded up. I’ve uploaded a clearer image of the poster from a postcard that I got in the mail which you can see below.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning that the headline set for May the 4th is the UCS Assault on Hoth. I’ll have my review on this particular set in a few weeks time.

LEGO Mixels Series 9 Official Images

CM4Sci has let us know that the official high-quality images for the LEGO Mixels Series 9 are now available via the Mixels Wiki. In this newest wave, the names of the three tribes are Newzers, Nindjas, and Trashoz. They continue to look more and more interesting as the theme goes on as they have some interesting pieces and make great parts packs.
