LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter Minifigure (5004468) Review

LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter Minifigure (5004468)

A few days ago, Toys R Us released a “new” LEGO Seasonal set with the Iconic Easter Minifigure (5004468), otherwise known as the Chicken Suit Guy. This set retails for $5.99 and is currently available at Toys R Us stores in the US, if you can find them.

Outside of the box is a sleeve that slips off. The box is very simple looking and there’s nothing too special about it. The shape and artwork for the box resembles a small hen house with some Easter egg around it. The door opens up to reveal the Chicken Suit Guy sitting in one of those black container molds that we’ve seen in the Target Minifigure Boxes.

As for the Chicken Suit Guy, he’s pretty much the same minifigure as from the Series 9 Collectible Minifigures (71000). The only notable visual difference from the two is the head on the original one is hollow while the new one is solid. I also noticed the legs on the new one were somewhat more loose than the old one.

Overall, I’m not sure what the purpose of the Iconic Easter (5004468) set is other than being a little Seasonal set that kids can enjoy. As for collectors, this set is a good opportunity to get the Chicken Suit Guy if you missed out on him three years ago. Since the release of this set, the price for the minifigure on the secondary market has dropped dramatically but as with these fairly exclusive sets, some are buying them up in … Continue

The project now joins the Fossil Museum, the Gingerbread House, the Modular Train Station, the Old Fishing Store, the Jedi High Council, and the Particle Accelerator as the ones that qualify for the First 2016 Review Stage.

LEGO Ideas Maze (21305)

LEGO has officially revealed the next LEGO Ideas set with the Maze (21305). The set was conceived by Jason Allemann (JK Brickworks) and it will be available on April 1st for $69.99. Along with the Maze build, the set will also have a removable container to store the balls. Read more about the design process of the Maze (21305) over on their blog post.

LEGO Ideas Maze – The reinvention of a classic!

The latest LEGO Ideas product reinvents the classic ball and labyrinth game, but adds a twist of creative LEGO building to the fun.

Built entirely from LEGO elements, the LEGO Maze consists of a base frame and a simple tip and tilt mechanism made up of LEGO beams and axles. You turn the wheels to move the maze up and down or from side to side guiding the ball away from the traps.

The interchangeable maze system means you can easily swap maze plates without having to rebuild the entire game. Once you’ve mastered the two maze designs included with the set, you will find lots of inspiration to start creating your own mazes using the bricks included or any of your own LEGO elements.

LEGO ReBrick Relaunches

Earlier today, LEGO ReBrick announced the relaunch of the site. Currently, there isn’t much to see on there but they do have a contest going called the Build for the Sky: LEGO Worlds Challenge. The contest revolves around building something creative in the sky. The only caveat is that you must build your entry in LEGO Worlds.

The deadline to submit your entry is April 4, 2016 and the winner will have their creation in the game and the model will be recreated by a known Brick Artist and displayed at the LEGO Worlds booth at E3 Expo in June.
