Some New LEGO Star Wars 2016 Official Box Art Images

German shopping site Spielzeugschutte has posted official images of a few of the LEGO Star Wars 2016 sets. These include a new Star Wars Rebels set, some new Battle Packs that are based off the recently released Star Wars Battlefront video game as well as Series 3 of the Microfighters sets. Expect the images for the rest of the winter wave sets to come out pretty soon as they’re expected to be released late next month/beginning of the year.

LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales Coming to DVD on March 1

LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales

Earlier today, LEGO announced that LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales will be released on DVD on March 1, 2016. Droid Tales was a five-part series on Cartoon Network that is a retelling of the Star Wars saga told from the eyes of C-3PO and R2-D2. There’s no word on whether there will be an exclusive minifigure for the DVD or not but I’m going to guess no on that.

The fun begins following the victory celebration in the Ewok village on Endor, at the end of STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI. R2-D2 and C-3PO have gathered to regale Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca and the other Rebels with the tales of their adventures that led to the events of STAR WARS: THE PHANTOM MENACE. An accidental kidnapping occurs while the droids are reminiscing, and suddenly you’re taken on a new journey that leads to the retelling of the entire STAR WARS saga, as told by R2-D2 and C-3PO! It’s hilarious and playful, packed with all your favorite interlocking characters. LEGO(R) STAR WARS(TM): DROID TALES is intergalactic thrills for the whole family!

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Constraction Buildable Figures Official Box Images

Continuing with our coverage of official images that have come out today, we now have the box art images of the second wave of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Constraction Buildable Figures. We first saw an image of all of them last month when they were published in the LEGO Club Magazine but it was a little hard to see what each one looked like besides the First Order Stormtrooper which we saw back in June. If you want to see the characters in other poses, head on over to Brickset.

LEGO Nexo Knights Official Box Art Images

LEGO Nexo Knights

LEGO has uploaded more official images to their servers and what more exciting stuff to see than the images for their newest theme, LEGO Nexo Knights. There are now images for most of the sets including the “Ultimate” sets which features the major characters in the theme with their powered up weapons and accessories. As you can see from the images below, the sets use a lot of blue and trans-orange which I think is a great color combination. To see more images of the sets, head over to Brickset. The Ultimate Guide to Collectible LEGO Sets, Identification and Price Guide Book Review

The Ultimate Guide to Collectible LEGO Sets, Identification and Price Guide

If you’ve ever wondered what your LEGO sets are worth, then you’ve probably been on Brickpicker where you can see the values of pretty much every set on the secondary market. Our friends Ed and Jeff Maciorowski has recently released a new book called The Ultimate Guide to Collectible LEGO Sets, Identification and Price Guide by Krause Publications. It contains 250 pages and retails for $26.99.

In recent news, there have been many reports of LEGO sets being a better investment than gold and some people are jumping at the opportunity to make a quick buck or two. Many times, I’ve seen two distinct groups of LEGO fans, people who build and people who use LEGO as a business.

We’ve probably all seen what retired LEGO sets are worth on eBay or BrickLink if we’ve gotten into LEGO late. We know that prices for sets on the secondary markets gradually rise as time goes on. Since there is still pretty good demand for retired sets, this is where LEGO investors come in or as many people call them, resellers.

The Ultimate Guide to Collectible LEGO Sets, Identification and Price Guide

The Ultimate Guide to Collectible LEGO Sets can be seen as a good resource for newer investors to get started in the hobby because we’ve probably wondered what a certain set is worth at one point in time. I know that I have although I’ve never sold anything before. It tells you how to pick the right sets for investing and what sets to avoid. If you’re looking to buy retired sets for your own collection, this … Continue
