LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Classic TV Series Batcave (76052) Teased?

LEGO Batman Adam West

Earlier today, LEGO posted an image celebrating the birthday of Adam West. You probably know that Adam West was Batman from the Batman television series back in the 1960s. That takes us to the point, did LEGO tease out a hint of the Batman minifigure for the upcoming LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Classic TV Series Batcave (76052) set?

Notice the Batmobile in the image above of the newer style stud shooters on the hood. Before there was no mentioning if there would be a Batmobile in the 76052 set but this is more evidence that there could be one included. LEGO has released a chibi version of the vehicle at San Diego Comic Con but this set could be a great opportunity to put out a regular sized car.

Thanks to everyone who messaged in about the image. I did see it this morning but I was at work the whole day and didn’t have time to do a post on it then.

LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827) Rumored for January 2016

There’s some huge news/rumors coming from Just2Good this morning. He has noted that there are some “very reliable sources” saying that we’ll be getting a direct-to-consumer LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827) on January 1, 2016. The set will be over 4,600 pieces and retail at $350. The set will be able to open up to see the interior details and such. J2G also mentioned that this set will be based on the original Ghostbusters films and not for the upcoming movie with the female crew. Finally, he mentions there will be a modular set planned for next near and the the firehouse isn’t a replacement for it.

As we all know by now, there have been some Ghostbusters Firehouse sets that weren’t approved to become official sets on LEGO Ideas but we did get the LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108). Additionally, we are also getting some LEGO Dimensions expansion packs so we do know that LEGO does have a license to create Ghostbusters products.

Again, this is all speculation but Just2Good has proven that he is a reliable source of upcoming sets. If you’ve been holding off on getting the LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108), I suggest you pick one up soon to go along with the new LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827) since he didn’t mention the set coming with one. Sound off in the comments if you’re getting one if it actually becomes a set.

Update: A few hours after I did this post, Paperballpark over on the Brickset forums has found an URL … Continue

LEGO Ninjago Land Coming to LEGOLAND California

A few hours ago, LEGOLAND California announced the latest addition to the theme park with the new LEGO Ninjago Land which will be opening in spring 2016. The main attraction will be the LEGO Ninjago The Ride where riders will be able to use hand gestures to send elements at a 3D screen. The ride will also use 4D technology effects like heat, smoke, and wind to give riders an interactive experience. Head on over to The San Diego Union-Tribune to see a video on how the ride will function.

The ride will be part of an one-acre attraction which will be behind the Imagination Zone and it will also includes a training camp. There will be games and activities that will let attendees “train” to be a ninja. Also in store is a shopping venue and Asian cuisine.

The LEGOLAND Ninjago Land is part of ongoing attractions to the part with the expansion of Star Wars Miniland, Heartlake City, and the Legends of Chima water park.

LEGO Nexo Knights Preliminary Set Descriptions

LEGO Nexo Knights

There’s some new information coming out of Eurobricks from CM4Sci regarding the upcoming 2016 LEGO Nexo Knights theme. He has given some descriptions for the sets in the initial wave. I won’t be copying every single thing that was mentioned in the post but I will highlight some stuff that may be of interest. Of course, there are no official images at this time.

Since Nexo Knights is the next big LEGO IP theme, which will be replacing Legends of Chima, there will be a ton of stuff surrounding the theme including a TV show, books, and games/apps, etc. Again, I’ve only sort of summarized the set descriptions because I didn’t want to copy the whole post so if you want to read up on it, head over Eurobricks.

The main colors for Nexo Knights are blue and gray with a lot of trans-neon reddish-orange (TNRO) similar to the ones found in the Ice Planet 2002 sets. To clarify more about about the steampunk aspect that was reported before, CM4Sci has stated there is no steampunk whatsoever.

Update: I’ve removed the drawings because they hang a fine line of actual preliminary images.

Knighton Disc Launchers (70310) – Small vehicle-type thing with two wheels similar to the LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants Rocket Ride (3831) and two disc shooters. The knight has gray and blue armor and wears a weird helmet. The villain is all red with a black mohawk.

Chaos Catapult (70311) – The catapult is dark brown and black with some stuff on the side. Minifigures include … Continue
