Tires for LEGO DC Comics Bat-Pod (5004590) Available Again on Bricks & Pieces

If you’re still trying to piece together the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Bat-Pod (5004590), you’ll find that the hardest part to find is probably the tires because they are only available in The Tumbler (76023). Many have been trying to purchase them off Brick & Pieces but they’ve been out of stock for a while. The good news is that they are now available to purchase again at a decent price of $11.02 per tire which is a bargain compared to $30+ sellers are asking for on BrickLink. I highly suggest that you purchase them now before they go out of stock again. The only downside from ordering from Bricks & Pieces is that you won’t earn any LEGO VIP points or qualify for any promotions that are going on.

Update: And it’s sold out again. I won’t keep updating on its availability. You’ll have to keep checking when it comes back in stock.

LEGO News Show Premiere Episode

LEGO News Show

Back in 2013, LEGO released an animated series called the LEGO News Show but it was voiced in German. LEGO has now released the first English episode of the show on the LEGO Club minisite. Like the previous series, it features Dan Brickman and Helen Stone as the anchors. Also joining them as a correspondent is the LEGO Club mascot Max.

The first episode of the LEGO News Show doesn’t provide much news content but is more of a introduction video of the characters that we’ll be seeing more of in the future. The show will have monthly episodes that will be on the LEGO Club minisite and on YouTube as well. Check out the premiere episode in the link above.

LEGO Dimensions Companion App Now Available

LEGO Dimensions App

The talk for the past couple of days is the release of LEGO Dimensions and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has also announced that there is also a LEGO Dimensions companion app to go along with it. The app lets you do a variety of things like learning more about the expansion packs including getting the build//rebuild instructions. You can also unlock badges and get exclusive wallpapers for your desktop and mobile devices.

One downside of the app is that it is a whopping 135MB so if your device is full, you might not be able to download it until you free up some space. Another is that there are some glitches here and there. I’m sure some future updates will fix these issues.

The LEGO Dimensions companion app is now available on Google Play and will be on iTunes in the near future.

Take LEGO® Dimensions™ on the go with the official companion app. You can explore expansion packs, game videos and share your collection and wish list with family & friends!

The LEGO Dimensions companion app contains a wealth of information including videos, screenshots and expansion pack build/rebuild instructions.

App Features:
* Learn about the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack.
* Explore all of the expansion packs including Level, Team and Fun Packs.
* Keep track of your wish list to help you complete your collection.
* Build your collection and share it with friends to compare!
* Earn all of the badges to unlock an exclusive desktop and mobile wallpaper!

LEGO Angry Birds Bad Piggies Preview Image

LEGO Angry Birds

Earlier today while I was at work, LEGO shared on their social media pages a preview of Bad Piggy for the upcoming LEGO Angry Birds theme which coincides with The Angry Birds Movie coming out in 2016. In the image, you can see one of the pigs as well as some of the birds including Red, Matilda, Stella, Bomb, and Chuck.

New York Comic Con 2015 is next week and LEGO does have a booth there. There’s no word on what they will be revealing there, if anything, but the LEGO Angry Birds is possible. If not, we’ll probably see images of the sets at upcoming toy fairs.

Check out the trailer for the movie below and let me know your thoughts on the theme. Thanks to everyone who messaged in about it. I did see it when LEGO posted it but wasn’t able to post about it.

LEGO Dimensions Building Instructions to be Available for Everyone

LEGO Dimensions is now available and one of the major complaints I’ve seen from fans is the lack of instructions for the builds in the expansion packs. The booklet tells you to continue building using the in-game instructions however for some people who just bought Level, Team, and Fun Packs without the Starter Packs, they won’t be to create the builds without figuring it out by themselves.

Don’t fret because on the LEGO Dimensions Twitter feed, they have stated that the instructions will be on the LEGO Dimensions minisite shortly for everyone.

Update: It looks like the building instructions have been uploaded to the servers. To find the, head over to the minisite and click on the “Products” tab. There will find all the products that are currently available.

Once there, scroll down a little and click on the instructions icon.

After that, you’re taken to the building instructions page where you can download PDFs of the different builds.

LEGO Dimensions Officially Launches Today

The big day is finally here! LEGO Dimensions has officially launched and some of you guys may already have some of the products as of this writing. LEGO has launched a number of expansion packs for the video game in the initial wave and you can now purchase them at LEGO Brand Stores as well as major retailers. They should be available on Shop@Home in the near future. You can also purchase them on Amazon which you can get free Prime shipping. Note that the links will be forwarded to Amazon as they are our affiliate. If you were to get everything that is available at today’s launch, you’ll be dropping a total of $464.79, tax and shipping not included. Which products are you excited to get?

Starter Packs – $99.99

Level Packs

There are three LEGO Dimensions Level Packs available at today’s launch: Back to the Future (71201), The Simpsons (71202), and Portal 2 (71203). All of the Level Packs are $29.99.

Team Packs

There are two Team Packs available at launch: Jurassic World (71205) and Scooby-Doo (71206).

Fun Packs

Finally there are a whopping 15 Fun Packs available starting today, each retailing for $14.99.

LEGO Dimensions to Keep Going for at Least Three Years

Even though LEGO Dimensions doesn’t launch for a few more days, TT Games Executive Producer Mark Warburton has stated that there are more plans to roll out more expansion packs in the future. How many you ask? He has stated there is a three year plan cycle for more LEGO Dimensions Fun Packs, Team Packs, and Level Packs which means more minifigures.

We have a three year plan at the moment and we’ve got no intention of stopping there. We’ve created the technology to the degree that we’re happy it meets our needs for the future. We’ve created the toy pad so that it shouldn’t need to be updated. And we can just create new level and character packs to keep expanding that.

Warburton has also stated that you only need the Starter Pack to get 100% and the Platinum trophy so no expansion packs are needed to get all the achievements. LEGO Dimensions will be launching in two days on Sunday, September 27.
