Cosmos LEGO Themed T-Shirt on TeeFury This Weekend

TeeFury LEGO Cosmos T-Shirt

Whether you are a fan of Carl Sagan’s Cosmos: A Personal Voyage or Neil deGrasse Tyson’s new follow-up show, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, you’ll be glad to hear that TeeFury will be having a Cosmos themed t-shirt for sale on Sunday, June 8th. The shirt features Carl Sagan and Neil deGrasse Tyson as LEGO minifigures with the classic LEGO Space logo in the background. The shirt is called “We Are Star Stuff” and is designed by pacalin.

Female Minifigure Set May Be Next Official LEGO Ideas Product

The LEGO Ideas Female Minifigure Set by Alatariel could be the next official product being released by LEGO. Ed over at Brickpicker has been posting information about future sets and their rumored prices and one post caught my eye which states “21110 Research Institute $19.95” so I did some research. If the LEGO Ideas continues with their set number structure, the next product would have 21110 since the Exo Suit has 21109. Also, on the project page itself, the description of the set is as follows:

I would like to propose that the final set will represent a versatile Research Institute comprising the labs of the Astronomer, the Paleontologist, and the Chemist.

Research Institute. The exact words from Ed’s post in the forums. Again, putting two and two together, it may seem that The Female Minifigure Set has passed the review because it was still being further evaluated when the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108) was announced. If this is the case, we will probably be getting a fairly small set with a female Astronomer, Paleontologist, and a Chemist or something similar to the proposed project. What do you guys think of this theory?

Note: The images above are from the proposed project and not the official images.

Update: It is confirmed that the project will indeed be the next LEGO Ideas product.

LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) Pricing Revealed

LEGO CUUSOO Exo Suit Logo

News coming out of Brickpicker from Ed is that the LEGO CUUSOO/Ideas Exo Suit will retail for $34.99. We already know that the release date will be sometime in August with the set number 21109. The LEGO Ideas team is finalizing the Exo Suit for the official reveal for sometime in the near future. Check out The New Elementary to see what the LEGO team has been working on.

Disclaimer: The pricing is speculative but I believe the information is legit.

Is LEGO UCS Tumbler (76023) Confirmed?

As we mentioned in our post of the July 2014 Store Calendar, there will be an exclusive LEGO set being revealed at the 2014 San Diego Comic Con on the July 24-25. Brickset has updated their database with a listing for an Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) set with set number 76023. It is listed under the DC Comics/Universe Super Heroes theme.

As we all know, SDCC is the mecca of comic and movie news so putting two and two together, I can say with a 99.9% certainty that it will most likely be the Tumbler that we did an article about back in February. If this is true, the Tumbler will be the second Batman-themed set with UCS label with The Batmobile (7784) being the first. With all the cool sets that LEGO has released or will be releasing in the future, 2014 has been awesome so far with still six months left in the year! How do you guys feel about having a UCS Tumbler being released this year?

Update: Ed over on Brickpicker “confirms” that the set will be $199.99. Since Ed works with the prices and the database over there for the investors, maybe there’s some secret information that are in the codes. I guess we’ll see if that is correct when/if it is revealed at SDCC.

Update: Yes, the set has been confirmed! See the pictures and read more about it here.

Note: The above image is not the UCS Tumbler. It’s set 7888 from six years ago.

New LEGO Exclusive Set Available For VIPs From July 18-31

As mentioned in the July 2014 Store Calendar, there will be a new exclusive set available for LEGO VIP members from July 18-31. It’s still a month or so away so LEGO hasn’t released the details of the set yet although they may do it at Brickworld Chicago later this month or Brick Fiesta next month. If I were to guess on which set it could be, my guess is the MINI Cooper MK VII (10242) that we reported on back in April. You can read more about the rumored details of the MINI Cooper in the link in the previous sentence. What are your guesses on what the exclusive set will be? Sound off in the comments below.

Update: If it MINI Cooper is revealed at an upcoming LEGO convention, it will be $99.99, per Ed of Brickpicker.
