LEGO Minecraft Microworld: The End (21107) Image Revealed

The LEGO Minecraft Facebook Page has revealed an image of the newest Microworld set in the line, The End (21107). The set contains two levels of tan pieces which represent the End Stone. There are also some Obsidian pillars on the top level as well as the brick-built Ender Dragon. On the bottom level are a few of the neutral humanoid mobs called Endermen. Like with the previous LEGO Minecrafts sets, The End looks to be modular but is mostly open-faced on the bottom level. There’s no word on the number of pieces but it will be available in the summer. The Minecraft team is also working on minifigure-scale Co-Build set but there hasn’t been any updated information for that set since last year.

LEGO CUUSOO Doctor Who Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Doctor Who project by GlenBricker and Kaminoan is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO CUUSOO. It’s only been a little over two weeks since LEGO announced that they started accepting Doctor Who theme projects on the site and this project just shot up in the number of supporters.

The project suggests 5 minifigures, K-9, and 3 brick-built Daleks. The set itself would consist of the TARDIS Police Box and the TARDIS Console. Keep in mind that LEGO has given a warning to prioritize the minifigures or they have the liberty to choose from a list of suggested options. No doubt the demand for an official LEGO Doctor Who set is there. Now we just have to wait for the first review period to see if it passes LEGO’s criteria of becoming an official set.

It joins the LEGO Bird Project, the Modular Apple Store, and the BTTF – Jules Verne Train so far as the sets in the running during the first review stage. In a fast-moving surprise, The Big Bang Theory now becomes the highest supported project on CUUSOO. The official LEGO comments will be posted as soon as they become available.

Congratulations on 10,000 supporters, GlenBricker and Kaminoan!

Congratulations, GlenBricker and Kaminoan on reaching 10,000 supporters on LEGO CUUSOO!

You’ve presented a very nice TARDIS exterior and interior playset, and an assortment of characters from which to choose. We’re looking forward to considering this project in the LEGO Review, but for now excuse us while we go

The LEGO Movie Master Builder’s Submarine MOC by Imagine Rigney

"We Can Make a Bat-submarine… (Patent Pending)": LEGO Movie Submarine Side View

Last month, we reported on an image that surfaced of the Master Builder’s Submarine that was created by various characters in The LEGO Movie. The digital design was created by Grant Freckelton and his team using LEGO Digital Designer. In the movie, six characters worked together to create it. In the real world, it took one person to make it and he goes by the name of Imagine Rigney on Flickr. He has recreated the submarine with great accuracy. The sub is only a part of his bigger models as you can see from the images below. The sub is a cutaway design in which the characters witness the fall of Unikitty’s Cloud Cuckoo Land. He notes that while building the model, he found out that many of the elements used in the digital image didn’t exist in some of the colors or no longer exists. A very awesome MOC by Imagine Rigney and truly a representation of The LEGO Movie’s message.

Warner Bros. Hires Chris McKay as Director for The LEGO Movie Sequel

Warner Bros. now has a new director for The LEGO Movie sequel. Deadline is reporting that Chris McKay will be the one directing the sequel to one of the best grossing animated movies of all-time. If McKay’s name sounds familiar, then you may know that he worked on the very hilarious Robot Chicken series on Adult Swim. He also edited a lot of the animation for The LEGO Movie. McKay will be joining the team of Phil Lord and Chris Miller who will now be producing the second movie as well as the writers, Jared Stern and Michelle Morgan. Deadline also notes that the second movie will be a straight sequel even though the studio was still in talks about the Ninjago movie.

The LEGO Movie has grossed $361 million worldwide in a little over a month in the theaters and is the #1 movie for 2014. The LEGO Movie 2 has a reported release date of May 26, 2017 so the studio has a few years to make the sequel as good, if not better, than the first movie.

No More Martian Manhunter Minifigures Available on LEGO Shop@Home

No More Martian Manhunter Minifigures Available

I’ve gotten a few emails today from people who were ordering from Shop@Home and were trying to get the exclusive LEGO DC Comics Martian Manhunter (5002126) minifigure polybag but were informed that there were no more available. That’s right. There are no more Manhunters available not even two weeks into the promotional period. I’m not that surprised since LEGO fans have been waiting for this guy to get one step closer to completing their Justice League collection. At this time, you can still see the minifigure added to your shopping cart but you will get an email stating there are no more available. Below is that email that people have been getting from S@H about the promo. You may still be able to find one in brand stores but I’d call first to make sure they still have some available. Plus, there is the secondary market such as eBay or Bricklink for you to find these guys. Thanks to Zack and Jimmy for the heads up.

As an eBay Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

Due to overwhelming demand, the LEGO Shop Martian Manhunter promotion has been ended early for both the US and Canada.

Update: LEGO now lists the Martian Manhunter on the promos page as “Sold Out.”

Update 2: Ace over on FBTB also confirms that he’s also gotten one of these emails.
