LEGO Ideas Design an 80’s IP Build for Future Set

LEGO has launched a new LEGO Ideas building contest called If We Could Turn Back Time in which you can help design a future set. The premise is to build something based on an 80’s TV show or film and the entries will go to a fan vote to choose a new LEGO Ideas set. Usually LEGO asks for mostly original ideas but here you can use their IP checker to use approved IPs for this contest. Builds that are chosen for the fan vote will get the following sets:

• 21314 Tron: LEGACY
• 21328 Seinfeld
• 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine

Entries are open until April 9 at 6:00 EST.

LEGO Star Wars 25-Second Film Festival Information

A few days ago, we reported that LEGO is holding a LEGO Star Wars 25-Second Film Festival with some items in the Rewards Center for participating. We now have some more information on what LEGO is looking for with the video submissions. You have from now until April 22 to submit your entries.

Hello there.

This year is the 25th anniversary of LEGO® Star Wars™ (yes, it’s really been 25 years) and we’re going to spend it celebrating the fan community’s incredible creativity. We put out the sets, but it’s your imagination that makes LEGO Star Wars.

How are we celebrating fan creativity?

Introducing ‘The 25-Second Film Festival’.

We want to invite fans across the galaxy, like you, to submit any film in any style – stop motion brick films, hand-drawn films, films made with CGI etc – as long as it’s 25-seconds long and represents LEGO Star Wars sets and Minifigures.

Film-making masters are welcome, and creative padawans too; anyone with an idea is invited to bring it to life and submit. You can recreate your favourite Star Wars moments, or forge a new one with the LEGO Star Wars characters, places and ships you treasure – whatever shows off your love for the galaxy.

This is your blank canvas to tell your own LEGO Star Wars story, and The LEGO Group’s opportunity to celebrate the community’s creativity in the way it deserves to be celebrated.

Never tell me the odds details…

Submissions are open on LEGO.com/LSW-25 between March 1st and April 22nd. We encourage
