LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 10 Revealed

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 10

Brickset has posted an image of the new LEGO Series 10 Collectible Minifigures. Argos has them listed at £1.99 and they will be released in May. We’ve known the list of these minifigures for a while now but it’s nice to have a clear view of what they look like. Series 10 will also be the one with the Golden Minifigure inserted randomly in the boxes. There will only be 5000 of the special minifig in the world. My impressions of him is that he looks nice and will be easily feel-able in the packages but it’ll be extremely hard to find one of these guys.

LEGO Hogwarts Castle by Alice Finch

Alice Finch and her castle

There are regular LEGO Hogwarts Castle sets produced by LEGO and there’s Alice Finch’s version of the iconic castle from the Harry Potter series. Her 400,000 brick build of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry won both “Best in Show” as well as “People’s Choice” as BrickCon 2012. She was recently interviewed by The Brothers Brick, which I highly recommend reading, where the massive structure was officially unveiled on her Flickr page. As a big Harry Potter fan having read the books and seen the movies, the sheer amount of bricks and the time it took to build it is unfathomable and to get all the small, intricate details within Hogwarts is just pure awesomeness. Although I’ll never be creating something so spectacular, I can at least enjoy looking at the pictures and immerse myself in the world of Harry Potter.

LEGO CUUSOO Back to the Future Jules Verne Train

Team BTTF is back with another project on LEGO CUUSOO. This time, team members of Masashi Togami and Sakuretsu have unveiled the Jules Vernes Train on LEGO CUUSOO. The train was featured at the end of Back to the Future III where Doc Brown and his family comes to visit Marty in the future. The project also makes uses of the Power Functions and the railroad tracks so you can integrate the train to your existing models. Check out the details of the project below as well more images of the Jules Verne Train. If you like what you see, please go support the project here and let’s help Team BTTF achieve 10000 supporters. Like in the DeLorean Time Machine, Masashi will donate all the proceeds to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

This train is a steam locomotive style time machine. The characteristics of this project are as follows.
– Include Mini Figures(Doc Brown, Clara, Jules, Verne, and Einstein)
– Fit LEGO Trains Rail system
– Open Train Wing(External)
– Support LEGO Power Functions
– Can push 6 stud car

LEGO Harlem Shake Videos

I’m a little late to this but the Harlem Shake dance has already hit viral levels and everyone and everything has joined the party. SpastikChuwawa has created a stop-motion video of the LEGO Avengers Super Heroes doing the dance with Iron Man taking the lead. To Hawkeye, you just be Hawkeye. Nicely made video, SpastikChuwawa.

In another video, the employees of LEGOLAND California has also done the Harlem Shake in Miniland USA. It’s nice to see the employees take a little time off to have a little (more) fun.

LEGO Star Wars Planets Series 3 TIE Bomber & Asteroid Field (75008) Review

For the final LEGO Star Wars Series 3 Planet set, YourCreativeFriends has reviewed the TIE Bomber & Asteroid Field (75008). This small build contains 60 pieces and retails for $9.99. The minifigure that is included in the set is the TIE Pilot. I’m not sure why an asteroid field would be called a “planet” unless it was a destroyed Alderaan. Since Alderaan will be in a Series 4 set, maybe this set could be the remnants of the planet. Anyways, take a look at YCF’s video below for more details of the set.
