With two straight days of disappointing Naboo-related builds, I’m a little hesitant to see what’s in store for Day 7 of the LEGO Star Wars 2012 Advent Calendar (9509).

LEGO News, LEGO Reviews, and Discussions

LEGO has added some new items to the “Retiring Soon” list on Shop@Home. A couple of sets to point out that may sell out faster than others are the Star Wars Imperial Shuttle and the Harry Potter Diagon Alley. Grab them while you can before LEGO stocks are deplenished and prices on the secondary market skyrocket.

Our friends over at Your Creative Friends on YouTube has recently gotten their hands on the new LEGO Ninjago Gold Ninja minifigure. In this version, Lloyd Garmadon is transformed into the Ultimate Spinjitzu Master when he battles the Overload in the TV series. The minifigure is available in the Golden Dragon (70503) and the Temple of Light (70505) sets. Check out the video below for YCF’s review of the Gold Ninja. Watch the whole video for a surprise at the end.

With the new LEGO Star Wars 2013 Winter sets not even released yet, one of the members on the Swedish forum, swebrick.se claims that he has information about the 2013 Star Wars Summer sets from a retailer’s catalog and are rumored to be released in June 2013. This is all speculation since there’s no confirmation at this point in time. Below is a rough Google translation of the post, tidied up a little to make it readable.
– Jabba Sailbarge, about 5-6 minfigs. There is a Jabba and a blue figure. The actual construction of the ship looked sadly much worse than the former 6210 set. There was no round shapes and were narrower and simply much uglier in the design.
– AT-TE, was very similar to the previous models, about 4-5 minfigs. Nothing special that I could discern.
– Republic Gunship, same here was very similar to the previous models, about 4-5 minfigs, nothing special.

After Day 5’s disappointing build, we’re hoping to get something better in the LEGO Star Wars 2012 Advent Calendar (9509). and what we get is…

FBTB reports that the new LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sets have now shown up on LEGO Shop@Home. All the sets from the first wave will be available December 17. Note the Baxter Robot Rampage (79105) is listed as “Hard To Find” meaning it will probably be a retail store exclusive set.
Update: Shop@Home has pushed back the release date to December 24.
Update 2: Shop@Home has pushed up the release date to December 19.
Since I have all of The Hobbit sets now, I decided to have some fun with the Dwarves. After seeing the Thorin and Company promo picture, I wanted to recreate it with my minifigures. With some Photoshop editing help from Frozensky, the following is the end result.
