The LEGO Movie Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Today, The LEGO Movie celebrates the 10th anniversary of its theater premiere. It was a global phenomenon that earned $468 million during its theatrical run. As a result of its success, it spawned a direct sequel and a couple of spinoff movies including The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, The LEGO Batman Movie, and The LEGO Ninjago Movie.

It also introduced new fans to LEGO who weren’t really fans before the movie came out which wasn’t a bad thing for LEGO. A decade later, we’re still getting LEGO movies with the next one coming called Piece by Piece, a biopic featuring Pharrell Williams.

LEGO Ideas Metallica M72 World Tour Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Metallica M72 World Tour by MetalliBrick is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 2,972 piece build features the stage layout of the band’s current concert world tour and also proposes the band members of Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo.

The project joins Spirited Away, Appa the Sky Bison, from Avatar the Last Airbender, Venus Flytrap, Minerals Display, Dreamworks’ Shrek’s Swamp 2, Hello Kitty and Friends – 50 Years, Dr. Seuss’s The Grinch, Medieval Tournament, Cherry Blossom Ikebana, Roman Forum, Interstellar, and First 2024 Review Stage.

LEGO Ideas Working Suspension Railway Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Working Suspension Railway by Baron von Barron is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 2,999 piece build features a suspension railway that can be powered up and remotely controlled.

The project joins Spirited Away, Appa the Sky Bison, from Avatar the Last Airbender, Venus Flytrap, Minerals Display, Dreamworks’ Shrek’s Swamp 2, Hello Kitty and Friends – 50 Years, Dr. Seuss’s The Grinch, Medieval Tournament, Cherry Blossom Ikebana, Roman Forum, Interstellar as the ones to reach the First 2024 Review Stage.

BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 Pre-Orders Open Soon

If you were interested in purchasing the BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 sets, this is a reminder that pre-orders will start in two days, February 7. LEGO Ideas Interstellar Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Interstellar by Minibrick Productions is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 532 piece build features the Ranger spaceship that has a decorated interior and can fit the two minifigures of Cooper and Dr. Brand.
