The LEGO Shop has revealed two new summer 2022 LEGO Classic sets that will be releasing in a few months. They’re your typical Classic sets that gives you a variety of parts in different colors and provides inspiration for you to create your own builds. If you’re looking for parts, the Classic sets usually give some great value and these are no exception.
There are now official images of the summer 2022 wave of LEGO Friends sets from JB Spielwaren. There doesn’t seem to be a majority subtheme but there are three sets that are in the water environment.
The LEGO Star Wars May the 4th promotions are now live on the LEGO Shop and the main promotion for 2022 is for the Lars Family Homestead Kitchen (40531). The set has 195 pieces and you can get it with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $160 or more until May 8 or while supplies last.
The set includes a minifigure of Beru Lars who wears a brown shirt with a blue jacket. She does have a double-sided head that shows smiles on both sides.
The build features the Lars kitchen which was only shown for a short time in A New Hope but has been recreated in this set. The back wall is filled with cabinets with transparent blue doors. Inside the cabinets have a bunch of random stuff.
The countertop is also filled with items such as a replica of the Landspeeder, a bottle, teapot, and blue milk. There’s also some jars recessed underneath the countertop, one of which has some kind of plant.
Overall, the LEGO Star Wars Lars Family Homestead Kitchen (40531) is an unusual scene that LEGO used since it was only shown for a few seconds in the movie. The set is smaller than I expected, given the size of the box itself. Aunt Beru is exclusive to this set as this is the only minifigure made for the character so she’s pretty rare. Again, you’ll get this set for free when you make a LEGO Star Wars purchase of $160 or more until May 8.

There will be new LEGO Disney sets coming out this summer and there are now images of some of the sets. A few of the sets are the 4+ Mickey and Friends subtheme while the others are for Frozen and Cinderalla.
Last year, LEGOLAND Windsor opened a new attraction called LEGO Mythica which was a fantasy story revolving around mythical creatures. This summer, there will be a LEGO Mythica (40556) set based on the attraction and it was first seen in the LEGO Building Instructions portal. Consisting of 520 pieces, the set features Maximus the Sky Lion and a colorful Unicorn called Bitsandbobs. There’s no word yet on availability and I assume it’ll be a LEGOLAND Windsor exclusive since it’s the only LEGOLAND park that has the attraction.

A few days ago, we got our first look at the upcoming summer 2022 LEGO Monkie Kid sets and there are now official images of them. The “flagship” set of the wave is The Heavenly Realms (80039) and it includes many characters in Monkey King lore including Nezha, Erlang, Heaven Fairy, and Taishang Laojun. The set also includes Monkie Kid, Warden Monkey King, Monkey King, and Warrior Monkey King as it tells another story from Journey to the West.
