LEGO Star Wars Death Star Supersize Premium Print Insiders Reward Coming Soon

Yesterday’s reveal of the LEGO Star Wars Death Star (75419) came with a lot of controversy regarding the design, price, the GWP, and now an Insider Reward item. When the set launches in October, LEGO will also drop a LEGO Star Wars Death Star Supersize Premium Print in the Rewards Center which will cost 5,000 Insider points.

Yes, that is not a typo. The limited edition poster will cost almost $38 worth of Insider points. It measures 80cm (31in) high and 59cm (23in) wide and is limited to only 5,000 globally. To get those 5000 points, you had to spend about $770 to get them. Honestly for that price, you can get some real original vintage posters or prints. Unless you have a ton of points just laying around or if you’re a hardcore LEGO Star Wars fan, I would totally pass on this.

LEGO Ideas Build Your Favorite Hobby GWP Winner Announced

Back in July, LEGO Ideas started a building contest to build your favorite hobby and the winning build will become a gift with purchase set. There were 15 finalists and there was a fan vote held last month to choose the winner. Today LEGO has announced that winner which is Build, Paint and Play! by Doomslizer.

The build features a miniature model kit that you remove from the sprue and put together. If you’ve Gunpla, you know exactly what this is. LEGO will now go ahead and produce the set which should probably be out some time next year.
