LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales is a seasonal celebration of the dark side of Star Wars and is now streaming on Disney+ just in time for Halloween. The special takes place after The Rise of Skywalker in Darth Vader’s castle where Vaneé tells three stories of ancient artifacts and iconic villains from the Star Wars Universe. LEGO released the new poster for the show a few days ago which gives off vibes of The Shining.

… ContinueFor our next LEGO Ideas contest “LEGO NINJAGO + One-Button Digital Game using the LEGO® Microgame” we are putting some arcade cabinets into our LEGO retail stores and would love to showcase your own game creations on them.
Both Unity and the LEGO Group have been hard at work improving the tools from the submissions and feedback from the last LEGO Ideas competition to help make it easier and more fun to make a game, and most importantly easier to share the fun you have made with others. There is an arcade cabinet in LEGO House at the moment, and we will be announcing some of the other global locations shortly. We have also been working closely with the LEGO NINJAGO team to help develop a library of resources and inspirations to spark your imagination. Want to know what makes a great LEGO NINJAGO game, see in the video what the LEGO NINJAGO Design Lead says.

– A LEGO NINJAGO themed game. Be Ninja!
– A game with a theme of your choice. What is one-button fun to you (Use of third-party IPs is NOT allowed).

In more LEGO sustainability news, LEGO has announced that baseplates will also be changing their plastic packaging to paper packaging. The baseplates themselves will be the same colors but they will have new product numbers. The baseplates with the new paper packaging will be in available around March 2022.
Current Product Number | Product Number as of March ’22 | Product Name |
10700 | 11023 | Green Baseplate |
10701 | 11024 | Gray BasePlate |
10714 | 11025 | Blue Baseplate |
11010 | 11026 | White Baseplate |
Over the next few months you will likely see some products with “retiring soon” branding or perhaps a local retailer reporting that they are no longer able to order certain products. We want to share ahead of time that there is no need to be alarmed about baseplates.
In 2022, baseplates will be changing from their current plastic packaging to more sustainable paper packaging. Besides packaging, there are no additional changes with the LEGO baseplates and you will still be able to get the same colors and sizes in 2022 that you can purchase today. You can expect to see the new packaging around March 1, 2022.
