LEGO Ideas The A-Team: Van and Crew Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The A-Team: Van and Crew by HenkvdL05 is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build is inspired by the iconic 1979 Chevrolet Van that uses 470 pieces. Of course, there’s no A-Team without the characters and the minifigures include BA Baracus, Hannibal, Face, and Howling Mad Murdock.

The project now joins Imperial Island Fort, Movie Set, Lifeguard’s Shack, A-Frame Cabin, Spaceballs, The Costume Store, Boston Dynamics Spot 1:4 Scale Motorized Model, Medieval Tavern, Tavern Under the Snow, Women of Computing, Working Mini Golf Course, Brick Walk, Medieval Harbor, Floating Island (Using Tensegrity), Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, Aircraft Engine Workshop, Airport Firetruck Rosenbauer PANTHER 8×8, GameStop Classic Shop, Traditional German Cottage, Outer Solar System, Knight Rider: KITT and the FLAG Mobile Command Unit, Jaws, Basement & Sewerage, Nyhavn – Copenhagen, Denmark, John’s Medieval Watermill, Carl’s House, The Nanny, Minas Tirith, The Apartment, The Medieval Fortress (Castle), and House of Time as the ones to reach the Second 2021 Review Stage.

LEGO is now offering the LEGO Marvel Studios Collectible Minifigures – 6 Pack (66678) on the LEGO Shop. It costs the same as if you were buying six packs at $4.99 each. There’s a limit of three per household so you’ll get a total of 18 random minifigures instead of the 16 if you bought them separately.

BrickLink Designer Program Round 2 Crowdfunding Projects Revealed

BrickLink has updated the BrickLink Designer Program landing page and we now know which projects will be in Round 2 of crowdfunding. There are nine projects in this round and they have just started test building stage with crowdfunding starting late 2021. Of course, all the projects have to meet the standards to be able to move on and hopefully they all make it.

One unfortunate thing has also been announced and that is the Anatomini project by Stephanix has been archived and will no longer be available for crowdfunding “due to the complexity of revising the model.” That now makes six projects so far that have been archived due to various reasons without even reaching the actual crowdfunding stage.

LEGO has put up the pre-orders for the new LEGO DC Batmobile Tumblers on the LEGO Shop. You can now put your orders in for the Batmobile Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown (76239) for $39.99 and the Batmobile Tumbler (76240) for $229.99. It doesn’t say when the two sets will ship but if it’s the same as on Amazon, the smaller one will be out in October and the larger one will be in November.

LEGO has officially announced the new LEGO FC Barcelona Camp Nou (10284). The set has 5,509 pieces and will retail for $349.99/£299.99/€329.99. In addition to the release of the set, there is also a trivia for a chance to win the new set, a personalised minifigure in the famous red and blue football strip and a certificate recognising your superfan status. There are a total of 46 prizes up for grabs, one prize for each of the members of FC Barcelona’s female and male first team squads.

In addition, there is also the promotion for the LEGO FC Barcelona Celebration (40485) with purchases of Camp Nou (10284). It will run from September 1-12, while supplies last.

You can now pre-order the LEGO DC Batmobile Tumbler (76240) and the Batmobile Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown (76239) over on Amazon. The larger set has 2,049 pieces with minifigures of Batman and the Joker and retails for $229.99 with a November 1 release date. The minifigure scale version has 422 pieces and retails for $39.99 with an October 1 release and it includes minifigures of Batman and the Scarecrow.
