The LEGO VIP Collectible Coins have been pretty popular as LEGO released them every month with the last one being the Classic Space from earlier this month. LEGO has announced that the next coin will not be dropping on May 1 like with the other ones. There’s no explanation why but there will be some sort of announcement in the near future. The next coin should be the gold VIP one that goes in the middle of the display case if you got it.
The next coin in the set will not drop May 1. There will be an announcement as to when!

adidas Originals and the LEGO Group Announce the ZX 8000 ‘Bricks’ Collection
Herzogenaurach and Billund, April 29th, 2021: Having first come together during the landmark A-ZX series, this season adidas Originals and the LEGO Group present the ZX 8000 ‘Bricks’ collection. Bringing the globally renowned Danish brand’s signature aesthetics to one of adidas’ most iconic silhouettes, the collection marks the next stage in a partnership inspired by limitless creativity.
The bold footwear collection plays host to six sneakers, each made up in one of the primary LEGO® colors: Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, Black, and Grey. Boasting a classic construction based on the original ZX 8000 material composition, each pair in the collaborative ‘Bricks’ offering features a mesh upper matched with synthetic suede overlays, a ghillie lacing system, and a TPU heel counter which playfully emulates the texture of LEGO bricks.
Accompanying the launch of the collection is a playful campaign which follows the journey of the ZX 8000 silhouette as it is constructed piece by piece by LEGO minifigure engineers. See the full video here.
The adidas Originals and the LEGO Group ZX 8000 ‘Bricks’ collection arrives on May 7th and is available in adult and junior sizing through adidas.com/LEGO and select retailers.

Amazon currently has the LEGO Ideas Dinosaur Fossils (21320) on sale for 20% off the regular price. It is now priced at $47.73 which is a $12.26 discount on this 910 piece set. This is the lowest the set has been listed at on Amazon. If you’re a parts monkey, it’s a great price/piece ratio at $0.05/piece but the set also makes a very good display piece with the three dinosaurs. The set has been out for a while now but it’s still being displayed on my shelf.
TIME has released their first ever TIME 100 Most Influential Companies and The LEGO Group was one of the companies recognized for the honor. In the Innovators category, LEGO was named the most influential in fostering creativity. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, LEGO pushed forward with the Rebuild the World campaign to encourage kids and families to unlock their creativity by building.
During worldwide COVID-19 lockdowns, Lego creations have stacked up in homes with children. The company reported a 21% jump in sales, resulting from the immediate demand for in-home entertainment and the company’s pre-pandemic push to boost online sales globally. While its flagship product remains the classic brick, the 88-year-old family-owned company is evolving to recognize the diverse needs of young consumers with new offerings like Lego Braille Bricks and pandemic-inspired online content and hybrid learning resources. As families continue to hunker down, Lego love appears to be growing. “I have never gotten so many letters … [about] how important Lego play has been,” CEO Niels B. Christiansen tells TIME.
