LEGO Partners with Cultural Creators for Rebuild the World Campaign

LEGO has launched a new series of short films featuring cultural creators to showcase the creativity of kids as part of their Rebuild the World campaign. The first film shows artist Alexa Meada building her latest masterpiece with feedback from siblings, D’Elijah and Kyrie. Check out the video below.

Thursday 25th February, 16:00 CET: Award-winning US perspective artist Alexa Meade has today unveiled her latest work, a new surreal sculpture made from over 12,000 LEGO® bricks. In a [new film][1] released today by the LEGO Group as part of the Rebuild the World campaign, the artist best known for her optical illusion paintings, reveals how the new piece was inspired by two children she worked with during lockdown.

The film welcomes viewers into Alexa’s kaleidoscopic home in Los Angeles as she starts the creative ideation for her new masterpiece. Here, the artist who usually paints real people to look like 2D portraits meets with siblings, D’Elijah and Kyrie, who reintroduce her to the joyful medium of LEGO play. LEGO Ideas Via Rail Canada – The Canadian Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Via Rail Canada – The Canadian by NickLafreniere1 is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 2,312 build is based on the train that runs from Toronto to Vancouver and it consists of a Via Rail EMD F40PH-2D Locomotive, a baggage car, Chateau sleeper car, and Skyline dome car.

LEGO Announces New adidas Products for LEGO DOTS and Ninjago

LEGO has announced some new products for the adidas collection which includes items for LEGO DOTS and Ninjago. They will be available starting on March 1 for the adidas Creative Club members and to everyone on March 4 through www.adidas.com/LEGO.

LEGO Ideas Marine Life Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Marine Life by Brick Dangerous is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build consists of 1,164 pieces and it features a seahorse, jellyfish, and clownfish in a bell glass floating in the water.

LEGO Releases LEGO Universe Remastered Soundtrack

LEGO Universe was an iconic game back in the day and to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the game, LEGO has announced that they are releasing a remastered soundtrack. In addition, the Bits N’ Bricks podcast will feature Hollywood composer Brian Tyler, producer Richard Dekkard, as well as a special appearance by Sir Patrick Stewart.

Released to coincide with Hollywood composer Brian Tyler’s appearance on LEGO Games’ Bits N’ Bricks podcast.

Billund, February 24th, 2021: In December, the LEGO Group marked the 25th anniversary of its first ever video game with the release of the popular Bits N’ Bricks podcast series. Today, the company marks another important date with the release of the fully remastered LEGO® Universe (Original Game Soundtrack) to purchase and streaming for the first time ever. The soundtrack is accompanied by three episodes of the Bits N’ Bricks podcast looking back at the game’s development, with today’s episode focusing on conversations with composer Brian Tyler, producer Richard Dekkard, as well as a brief visit from the voice of LEGO Universe: Sir Patrick Stewart.

LEGO Universe was the company’s first ever massively multiplayer online game launched in October 2010, with a soundtrack composed by Brian Tyler and additional music by John Harman and Richard Dekkard. Now a celebrated Hollywood composer, Tyler has composed soundtracks for huge blockbuster smashes including Avengers: Age of Ultron and Iron Man 3.
