For today’s 10th anniversary of LEGO Ninjago, LEGO has released some never seen before images of some prototypes of official sets and parts. You can see the development phases the sets have gone through to get to the final product. It’s remarkable to see how many different iterations a set goes through to get to the final stage.

The LEGO Ninjago City Gardens (71741) is now available on the LEGO Shop for VIP members and LEGO has also released the designer video for the set. Designers Markus Rollbühler and Michael Knap talks about some of the details that went into the set including some cool Easter eggs.

You may have already seen it in the press release for the LEGO Ninjago 10 Year Anniversary but if you haven’t, LEGO has also revealed four new LEGO Ninjago: The Island sets. These sets will be available starting on March 1.

Today, LEGO celebrates the 10 year anniversary of LEGO Ninjago with brand new sets and stylish collaborations. The theme was started way back in 2011 when I first picked up LEGO again in many, many years and who would’ve thought that it would be one of the most popular themes LEGO has released in its long history. Most themes are produced for only few years but it has been remarkable that Ninjago has been going on for a whole decade since it was supposed to end after season two.
