adidas and the LEGO Group embark on a multi-year partnership

Sharing a belief in the power to build skills, strength and better futures through creativity, it’s time for two of the world’s most creative and loved brands to play on the same team!

LEGO DC FanDome Supergirl Minifigure Review

LEGO DC FanDome Supergirl

If you remember way back in August, DC FanDome was held online and they partnered with LEGO to give away a LEGO Supergirl minifigure. For a few months there was radio silence from both companies and I even questioned if the sweepstakes was even held since the official rules stated that winners would be drawn within 5 business days after the contest ended.

The LEGO Group Doesn’t Support JK Rowling’s Views

The LEGO Harry Potter theme has been extremely popular in the LEGO community but there has also been backlash with the creator of Harry Potter, JK Rowling, regarding things she have said on social media. Fan on social media have asked if JK Rowling has any influence on the LEGO Harry Potter sets which in turn could turn off fans from purchasing any if she does. LEGO’s PR Department has given a response for this issue which you can see below.

There is no place for discrimination in our society. Our mission is to inspire the builders of tomorrow, and that includes inspiring them to be empathetic, kind and inclusive both through our products and our learning through play programmes.

Our partnership to create Wizarding World sets is with Warner Bros, not JK Rowling. Warner Brothers receives the royalty fees from the sales of LEGO Harry Potter sets. You will need to contact Warner Brothers directly to ask them how they distribute these funds.

Since Diversity and Inclusion are a focus for us, we also work with non-profit organisations that support LGBTQ+ children. In Connecticut we have donated to TRUE COLORS, a non-profit organisation that works with social service agencies, schools, organisations and within communities to ensure that the needs of sexual and gender minority youth are both recognised and competently met.

UK we are also working with Diversity Role Models, an organisation that helps to educate all children about the importance of inclusion and empathy for all.; and Albert Kennedy Trust, an organisation that provides

Someone on wechat was able to get the set and demonstrated the moving feature. There’s no word yet on availability yet here in the US.

How to Check if You’ve Won the LEGO DC Fandome Supergirl Minifigure

A few days ago, I mentioned that the LEGO DC Fandome Supergirl was shipping out to winners and we finally have some details to see if you’ve actually won. I’ve been told that the minifigures are shipping out of Las Vegas, Nevada. One easy way to check to see if you have a package coming is to use USPS Informed Delivery. This service is free and it’ll let you see mail and packages that are coming in the mail and their expected delivery dates. For Supergirl, you’ll get a package from a place called SHIPPO which is a shipping software that DC used to mail out the minifigure. I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up but I’ve been told by a few people that this is a way to check if you’ve won.
