Billund, May 28, 2020: Today, the LEGO Group and Automobili Lamborghini unveiled the eagerly awaited LEGO® Technic™ Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 in true style. The showstopping reveal featured all the suspense, emotion and excitement of a supercar launch event – but was miniature in scale and powered entirely by LEGO Technic elements.

The star of the show, 1:8 scale LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 embodies the unrivalled power, visionary design and futuristic elegance of the limited-edition Italian super sports car. First presented at Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2019, only 63 of the full-sized Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 models are being produced, making this 3,696-piece replica the ultimate collector’s item for luxury car lovers and LEGO fans looking for their next building challenge.

Boasting a vivid lime-green colour and elegant golden rims, the model measures over 5” (13cm) high, 23” (60cm) long and 9” (25cm) wide. This one-of-a-kind model is the ultimate addition to any LEGO collection.

The LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 will be available directly from LEGO stores* and www.LEGO.com/Technic-Lamborghini-Sian from June 1st, then in many retailers globally from August 1, 2020.

LEGO Ideas Music Building Contest Winners Announced

A few months ago, LEGO ran a music building contest over on LEGO Ideas in which builders have a chance for their build to become an official set. The winners of the fan vote were announced earlier today and the top vote getter was Daft Punk Concert with LEGO Night Mode by RobotRock. However, the top nine voted projects are currently going through a product review for a chance to become an official set(s). Stay tuned for the results of that when a decision is made on it.

On a side note, we’re not sure if this building contest has any connection with the partnership between LEGO and Universal Music Group which has products coming out in 2021.

LEGO Recognized AFOL Networking Events Update

Jan Beyer over on the LEGO Ambassador Network has released a statement regarding the AFOL Networking Events that are supposed to be going on around the world. Due to the Covid-19 situation, there have only two events (Bricks LA/Bricks Cascade) that happened because they were held before everything shut down. Jan has given his thoughts on the ANE for 2020 that have not been cancelled yet (BrickFair Virginia/Skærbæk Fan Weekend/BrickCon). He also talks about some ANE that have gone virtual but that is no replacement for physical events.

Dear all, I hope you are all safe and healthy and have time to spend on your LEGO hobby.

Today I like to give you an updated about the situation regarding AFOL Networking Events in the current Corona Virus pandemic.

Due the never seen before circumstances unfortunately only 2 ANE (Bricks LA and Bricks Cascade) in early 2020 could happen. Since mid March all ANEs are cancelled due to governmental or local restrictions for physical meetings and larger gatherings.

This is of course understandable but hits the organizers and participants as well as the AFOL Community quite heavy.

We do our best to be as supportive as we can be to the cancelled ANE but of course it is a very sad situation and we are right now all very uncertain how the future for large physical gatherings looks like.

There are still 3 ANE left for the remainder of 2020 (Brick Fair Virginia, Skærbæk Fan Weekend and BrickCon) which are not cancelled yet and we all cross
