Over on the LAN, LEGO Chief Marketing Officer Julia Goldin has shared a message with the LEGO community. She has taken time to reflect on the current global situation and shares how the AFOL community is important to her and to LEGO in general, especially the events that are supposed to be going on around the world. It’s nice to see higher ups take time to make candid videos and sharing their thoughts.

Adam Savage Does LEGO Sorting

If you know Adam Savage from Tested/Mythbusters, you would know that he’s a big LEGO fan. His recent video on his Tested channel lets you see how he sorts his collection. Since he’s more of the hands-on DIY kind of person, he doesn’t resort to the usual storage solutions like Akro-Mils but instead he goes and builds his own system. On the same note, Brickset has been interviewing members of the LEGO community of how they do their storage which are some pretty good reads and it gives ideas on how to improve on your storage system.

New LEGO xtra Tape Sets Revealed

Brickset’s database bas been updated with some new LEGO xtra products that you may be interested in. LEGO is rolling out some new LEGO xtra Tape that you can use for certain layouts including Roads (854048) and Water (854065). Both are 49 ft in length and you can cut them to your desired length. I’m not sure if the back side is the sticky kind of tape but I’m guessing they will be reusable. Both also comes with a number of accessories as well.

New LEGO Brick Sketches Sets Revealed

Brickset has just revealed a brand new line coming out soon called LEGO Brick Sketches. As you can see from the images, they look very familiar. That is because the designer for these sketches is Chris McVeigh. You may have seen his work a few years ago before he was hired by LEGO and now his idea has became official sets.

As for the LEGO Brick Sketches, there are four sets in the initial wave including Batman (40386), First Order Stormtrooper (40391), The Joker, (40428), and BB-8 (40431). There’s no word on pricing or when they will be available but I’m guessing these are the August 1 summer wave sets.
