LEGO Crocodile Locomotive (10277) Available on Amazon

If you’ve been wanting to get the LEGO Crocodile Locomotive (10277), Amazon currently has it in stock at the normal retail price of $99.99. The set has been out of stock since its release and there’s no word on when it will be back. The only things you’ll be missing out on are the VIP points and the GWP set that is going on right now but at least you’ll be able to grab this hot commodity. As of this writing, it shows only 19 left in stock but I’m guessing they will have random small restocks.

LEGO Harry Potter Magical Treasury: A Visual Guide Now Available

For those who didn’t know, the LEGO Harry Potter Magical Treasury: A Visual Guide is now available for purchase on Amazon. It retails for $19.79 which saves you 10% off the retail price and it includes the exclusive Tom Riddle minifigure. This version of Tom is from the end of the Chamber of Secrets where he confronts Harry with the Basilisk.

New Story on How the LEGO Brick was Created

Today is the 100th birthday of former LEGO owner Godtfred Kirk Christiansen and LEGO has shared some never before released details of how the LEGO brick was created. The most interesting one is that the design of the brick was developed and patented in no more than five days. Read the full story below.

100 years ago, today, former LEGO® owner and managing director Godtfred Kirk Christiansen was born. His influence on the company and the success of the LEGO system in play is undeniable, but brand-new research done by our historians in LEGO Idea House shows that his influence on the LEGO brick and the company is even greater than we initially thought.

“For decades we have been unable to give a precise answer to the question of how the LEGO brick was developed, and who was the mastermind behind the design. We have been convinced that it was a lengthy development process carried out by a team of LEGO employees in the mid to late 1950s. Thanks to newly-discovered material, we have found out that Godtfred actually played a pivotal role in developing the LEGO brick that people all over the world love today,” explains Signe Wiese, Corporate Historian from LEGO Idea House.

It’s January 23, 1958. Three men are sitting in a LEGO office in Billund. The three men are Godtfred Kirk, his brother Karl Georg (presumably) and Axel Thomsen, head of LEGO sales office in Germany.

The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers Compound Battle (76131) finally has a significant sale over at Walmart. It is currently priced at $70.49 which is 30% off the normal retail price which we haven’t really seen before. Stores may have had it discounted more during the after holiday season sale but that depended on the store itself. Amazon only has it for 20% off at $79.99

LEGO Monkie Kid Official Images for Upcoming Wave

A few days ago, we talked about some upcoming LEGO Monkie Kid sets that come from LEGO Shop@Home Malaysia and there are now official images of the sets. There are three system sets that we can expect soon, minus the BrickHeadz set. There’s no word yet on the release date.
