LEGO Ghostbusters: Afterlife Trailer Released – Sets Rumored for 2020

The trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife dropped today and it is a direct sequel to the original Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II starring Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, Mckenna Grace, and Paul Rudd. What we’re interested here at The Brick Fan is if there are any LEGO sets for Ghostbusters: Afterlife. We’re unsure at this time but rumor has it from Brick Fanatics is that there will be some sets inspired from the film.

As you may know, the Ghostbusters theme isn’t new from LEGO as there has been a number of sets already including the LEGO Ideas Ecto 1 (21108), Ecto 1 & 2 (75828), Firehouse Headquarters (75827), BrickHeadz Peter Venkman & Slimer (41622), and sets for LEGO Dimensions. I wouldn’t be too surprised if there are sets for the new movie.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife releases in theaters on July 10, 2020.

LEGO Seasonal Creator Mini Gingerbread House (40337) Review

LEGO Seasonal Creator Mini Gingerbread House (40337)

From now until December 24 with purchases of $99 or more, you can get the new LEGO Seasonal Creator Mini Gingerbread House (40337). It consists of 499 pieces which is quite a bit for a gift with purchase set. Most people were waiting to get it along with the larger Gingerbread House (10267) but it is temporarily out of stock on Shop@Home. The contents of the smaller counterpart include five numbered bags from 1-3, two instruction booklets, and a small sticker sheet.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Price Increase Confirmed on Brickseek

A few months ago, we first reported that the price of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures will be increasing in 2020 and it looks like that has been confirmed by Brickseek. The LEGO DC Comics Collectible Minifigures (71026) are now out at Toys R Us in Canada as well as to a few RLFM sites and we can see the UPC number for the minifigures as 673419319362. Crosschecking that on Brickseek, it shows that the price has jumped to $4.97 which is Walmart pricing but it pretty much confirms that they will be $4.99 per pack.

Again, I’m not sure why the price has increased but note that for this wave, each minifigure will have a jumper plate along a trans-clear piece for action poses. I doubt those two additional pieces are the reason for the dollar increase but there could be other behind the scenes things that also factored into it.

LEGO DC Comics Collectible Minifigures (71026) Box Distribution Revealed

Reviews of the LEGO DC Comics Collectible Minifigures (71026) have started to go live on other RLFM sites and we now know the distribution of each of the characters in the wave. We didn’t get a box to do an early review on the set so we’ll have to wait until they are released in January.

LEGO Batman 1989 Batmobile (76139) Designer Video

The LEGO Batman 1989 Batmobile (76139) has been available for a week now but LEGO today has released the designer video for the set. LEGO designers Chris Perron and Adam Grabowski along with graphic designer Ioana Popescu talk about some of the details that are in the set. I’m still waiting for my set to come in the mail and I’m very excited to start building it. The Batmobile is still available for purchase on LEGO Shop@Home and you can also get the Mini Gingerbreak House (40337) for free with your purchase.

LEGO Trophy (40385) Revealed

There are now official images of a LEGO Trophy (40385) set that will be coming out soon. It has 200 pieces and the only build is the yellow trophy and stand. There are also a number of stickers included for various occasions. There’s no pricing on it at this time but I assume it’ll be $10 considering its piece count.
