From now until December 24 with purchases of $99 or more, you can get the new LEGO Seasonal Creator Mini Gingerbread House (40337). It consists of 499 pieces which is quite a bit for a gift with purchase set. Most people were waiting to get it along with the larger Gingerbread House (10267) but it is temporarily out of stock on [email protected] The contents of the smaller counterpart include five numbered bags from 1-3, two instruction booklets, and a small sticker sheet.
The first booklet allows you to build the first floor which also includes some windows going around it. I do like the use of the trans-orange pyramid tile for the fire under the chimney. The front of the model has a spot for the 2019 sticker.
Step 2 adds more detail to the house with the candy canes at the doors. There’s also some cheese slopes and round tiles near the windows.
The last step are for the parts for the roof of the house. Again, there are a lot of cheese slopes and different colored round tiles for more decoration. There’s even a couple of peppermint swirl tiles in the front.
The front of the Gingerbread House is highly detailed and looks pretty close to the larger version. The back, however, has no details whatsoever as it is mainly just brown with some white from the plates.
Overall, the Mini Gingerbread House (40337) is a cute little set that will look great next to the larger one. The details on the front as well as on the sides are pretty much spot on. It does have some weight to it since there are no hollow areas on the inside.
Even though it is a 499 piece set, the purchase threshold isn’t too bad as it is back to the usual $99 minimum that we’re used to seeing with these limited edition holiday sets.
