The September 2019 LEGO Store Calendar is now available and we can now see some of the promotions and events that will be happening for the month.

August 26-September 8: Free LEGO BrickHeadz Bumble Bee (40270) with purchases of $65 or more, while supplies last.

September 1: Celebrate the general release of the LEGO Disney Train and Station (71044) and if you dress up as a Disney character, you can get a special treat. Word has it is an exclusive minifigure.

Update: I was told it was a Series 2 Disney Collectible Minifigure.

September 2-15: Free LEGO Hidden Side Newbury’s Juice Bar (40336) with purchases of $50 or more, while supplies last.

September 2-October 3: Wanted: Ghost Hunters event. In-store demo of the LEGO Hidden Side sets.

September 9-15: Not listed on the calendar but there’s reportedly a promo for a mini Droid Commander polybag with purchase of the LEGO Boost Droid Commander (75253).

September 18: LEGO Triceratops Building Event. Required registration starts on September 5. Intended for children ages 6-14.

September 21: LEGO Life Meeting: Batman’s 80th Anniversary. Kids will be able to build a Bat-Vehicle. Adults are invited to the store at 3pm to build their own Bat-Vehicle. Upload your creations on the LEGO Life app for a chance to win a $50 LEGO Store gift card.

September 21-22: Rebuild the World in-store event.

September 23-28: Free LEGO Storage Bucket (5005630) with purchases of $100 or more, while supplies last.

LEGO Dragon Boat Race (80103) Promotion on Shop@Home

From now until September 8 while supplies last, you can get the LEGO Year of the Pig (40186) promotional set with a purchase of the LEGO Dragon Boat Race (80103). The Dragon Boat Race has 643 pieces and retails for $49.99 and was previously classified as Asian region exclusive set before LEGO changed things earlier this year. The promotion also is combinable with the LEGO Seasonal Bumble Bee promo with purchases of $65 or more.

LEGO has started a new gift with purchase promotion on Shop@Home for an item that is still currently available for purchase. With purchases of $65 or more, you can get the LEGO BrickHeadz Bumble Bee (40270) for free which I think they are trying to get rid of some inventory. This is somewhat unusual for LEGO to do since the item is still not retired yet but yet is doing it as a GWP. Amazon has it on sale for $8.75. The promotion will run until September 8. The LEGO Movie 2 Welcome to Apocalypseburg! (70840) – Walmart Sale – August 2019

I’ve been told that Walmart has a great sale on The LEGO Movie 2 Welcome to Apocalypseburg! (70840) that’s even better than the one found before on Amazon. They currently have it on rollback for $219.99 which is the lowest price it’s been on either site. It also has free delivery as well as free pickup if you can get it on time. LEGO The Simpsons Rumor from 2019 D23 Expo

A few years ago, LEGO surprisingly released some sets for The Simpsons TV show along with a couple of Collectible Minifigure series. The theme was very short-lived but it was pretty popular among fans. As we know by now, Disney acquired 21st Century Fox earlier this year so in turn, Disney owns The Simpsons. You’ll be able to stream the series on Disney+ when it launches in November.

The 2019 D23 Expo was this past weekend and there was a Simpsons panel there where creator Matt Groening was one of the guests. Of course, there was a Q&A session and it was reported that someone asked if there will be more LEGO The Simpsons sets and he responded “it is likely.” I’m not sure if the question was really asked but it was news that someone forwarded to me a few days ago and it’s worth taking a look at.

Obviously, LEGO had a partnership with Fox to produce some sets including a BrickHeadz set that had a very short shelf life last year so it’s a matter of whether LEGO intends to make more or not. LEGO also has a great relationship with Disney as well and I don’t see why they couldn’t reach out for a possibility to make more sets. Also the original tweet was deleted so that is a major red flag. New LEGO Magnet Sets Revealed

LEGO has recently released some new LEGO Wall Hanger Sets to decorate your home with and it looks like there are more home products coming soon that you may be interested in. Room Copenhagen has revealed some new LEGO Magnet Sets that you can use around the house. They come packaged in a two pack with a number of color combinations and parts including 1×1 plates and 1×1 round plates. There’s no word yet when they will be available but we’ll probably see them on LEGO Shop@Home and on Amazon soon. Thanks to Jeremy for the heads up.

Decorative and colorful magnets are shaped as round and square LEGO elements. They are ideal for display of drawings, postcards or notes. The classic design links perfectly to the creative universe of LEGO and it extends the the LEGO adventure.

Behind the Scenes Look at BrickLink Warehouse

If you ordered from the BrickLink AFOL Designer Program, they have been steadily shipping out. If you’re curious of how BrickLink gets the sets out to you, Beyond the Brick has released a video of the BrickLink warehouse at the Southern California location showing how the process comes together including employees packing all the parts needed for a particular set. The video also shows you parts of the office itself with some of the sets already built. It’s an interesting look inside the offices of BrickLink.
