LEGO Ideas First 2018 Review Stage Underway

First 2018 LEGO Review Stage

The LEGO Ideas First 2018 Review Stage has now kicked off as the deadline to qualify for it has ended. There are a whopping ten projects that qualified for review which include:

Embraer A-29 Super Tucano
SR-71A The Final Flight
Treehouse
Stitch
Modular Arcade
I am Amelia Earhart
Mystery Science Theater 3000
Acclamator Class Assault Ship
The Flintstones
The Vintage Motorcycle of BMW R60/2

Which project(s) do you think will pass the review stage? Sound off in the comments below. In the meantime, the Third 2017 LEGO Review Stage is getting close to being wrapped up and the announcement should be coming sometime this summer. We’re also still waiting for the official reveal of the Voltron – Defender of the Universe set which was announced back in August. I have a feeling that it’ll be revealed at San Diego Comic Con as it is a great time to an unveiling.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Infinity War Movie to Set Comparison

It’s been two weeks since Avengers: Infinity War was released in theaters and if you’re a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe like me, you’ve probably seen the movie already, maybe more than once. I’ve been asked a few times to compare the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Infinity War sets to the movie and that’s what I’ll do in this new series I’m starting on this site simply called Movie to Set Comparison.

As we know by now, LEGO usually releases sets depicting scenes for a particular movie and sometimes they aren’t that accurate due to them having only a little bit of source material to go by. What I’ll be doing is watching a certain movie and comparing the sets to see how accurate they are to the film. What better beginning to this series than to compare the LEGO sets to the record-setting Avengers: Infinity War. There are six sets that have been released so far for this movie so let’s get started. Be warned, there are spoilers but that goes without saying.

Outrider Dropship Attack (76101)

The Outrider Dropship Attack depicts the scene in Wakanda with a few members of the Black Order and the Outriders. The minifigure selection of Captain America, Black Widow, and a couple of Outriders are definitely accurate as they all appear in this scene. Both Captain America and Black Widow are in their new outfits and I do like how Captain America has his beard. The Outriders themselves are decent using a new neck brace piece for … Continue

Last Day for LEGO Star Wars May the 4th 2018 Promotions

Today is the last day for the LEGO Star Wars May the 4th promotions at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home. The main promo here are the double VIP points you get for your purchases, minus the Y-Wing (75181). The UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) is still available and do qualify for double points and since there aren’t that many sales on this set, the points are the best deal you’ll get on it until the next double points event rolls around. Also if you’re a Black VIP card holder, don’t forget to claim your unique code for the Y-Wing Blueprint Poster when you make your purchase.

LEGO Star Wars UCS Cloud City Rumored Details

May the 4th has passed and the set that was released was the LEGO Star Wars UCS Y-Wing Starfighter (75181) and not the rumored Cloud City set but there are some new details of the set coming out of Eurobricks recently. User Paperballpark, who is considered a reliable source of info, has revealed that there is a Cloud City (75222) set coming, most likely in the fall, and it’s a playset similar to the Death Star (75159). They mention that if you “chop the bottom off the Death Star, then add a few platforms and a ship or two,” it’ll be what we could expect in the set. The ships are rumored to be a medium-sized Slave I and a Twin-Pod Cloud Car.

As for the play details, it’ll be open like the Death Star and I assume it’ll have different rooms with scenes from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back like the dining room, the carbon freezing chamber, incinerator room, and the famous “I Am Your Father” scene which is also a LEGO Ideas project that is currently under review. You can read more about some little teasers about the Cloud City set here.

Again as usual, these are purely rumors at this time until LEGO announces something in the distant future however these are some interesting details that are hard to ignore.

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) Review

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)

The largest set that LEGO has produced is the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) which comes in at a massive 7,541 pieces while costing a whopping $799.99. I’ve already done an unboxing on it so you can check it out if you want. With today being May the 4th, now is a very good time to finally release this review. First off, let me preface this review by saying sorry for the lateness of the review. My camera image data and part of the review got corrupted on my old laptop a few months ago and I’ve finally had time to rebuild and retype out what I’ve already done in between what was happening with Toys R Us and changing jobs. Things just weren’t going right the past few months.

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) Available with Double VIP Points

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)

In a very rare occurrence the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) is available on Shop@Home and you can even get double VIP points on it. Fans have been waiting for this opportunity and to justify a $800 purchase this is the perfect time to get it if you’ve been holding off. Plus you can even get the BB-8 polybag as a bonus but the real bonus is the 1600 VIP points that you can get for the purchase.
