LEGO Hidden Side Newbury’s Juice Bar (40336) Promotion Coming in September

LEGO Hidden Side Newbury's Juice Bar (40336)

Last month, we got our first look at the LEGO Hidden Side Newbury Juice Bar (40336) promotional sets. There was no details on its availability but I have gotten word that it will be coming in September. I’ve been told it will be available September 2-15 with a $50 purchase. It didn’t say whether or not it has to be with the Hidden Side sets but I assume it will be. We’ll confirm once the September 2019 Store Calendar is available next Monday.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 19 (71025) Feel Guide

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 19 (71025)

The Series 19 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71025) comes out in a few weeks and I’ve already had a few messages regarding if I was going to do a feel guide for them so here it is. I know there’s a lot of you who don’t need one but this guide is for beginner collectors who don’t know how to search for a particular character. A number of the characters have very unique pieces to make them stand out from others. Series 19 will be available starting on September 1 but you may find them a bit early at other retailers.

Dog Sitter

– Easiest thing is to feel for the two dogs.

Video Game Champ

– I suggest feeling for the 2×3 tile even though a another character has it. Confirm with the controller.

Shower Guy

– This one may be a little difficult but I would feel for the brush because the shower cap could be mistaken for some of the other helmets in the wave.

Rugby Player

– The rugby ball would be the thing I search for if I was looking for him.

Bear Costume Guy

– The bear helmet would be easy to feel for. Use the rainbow and heart tile pieces to confirm.

Pizza Costume Guy

– The large pizze piece, ’nuff said.

LEGO Sustainability Mission Video

LEGO Sustainability

Last year, LEGO launched an initiative to produce LEGO elements from plant-based elements and a few days ago, they released a video to talk about the sustainability mission in an easy to follow way. They have also noted that their goal is to make all LEGO bricks sustainable by 2030. Currently, the LEGO Ideas Tree House (21318) is the largest set to have plant-based elements with 185 which is 6% of the 3,036 elements in the set. Do you think we’ll see a set in the future that uses 100% sustainable elements?

The LEGO Movie World Announced for LEGOLAND California

LEGOLAND California 2020

Yesterday morning, LEGOLAND California announced a new attraction coming to the park next year for its 20th birthday. It will be the largest addition to the park and it is called The LEGO Movie World. The flagship ride is called Master of Flight and it is a flying theater attraction that immerses guests using a full-dome virtual screen. Other rides in The LEGO Movie World include Unikitty’s Disco Drop and Benny’s Play Ship.

CARLSBAD, Calif. (August 15, 2019) –The audience erupted in cheer and confetti filled the theater as LEGOLAND® California Resort unveiled its biggest gift for its 20th birthday by announcing the largest addition in the Park’s history: The LEGO® Movie™ World. General Manager Peter Ronchetti is excited to take guests from theater to theme park in 2020.

“The LEGO MOVIE WORLD is LEGOLAND California Resort’s largest Park addition ever and we are thrilled to create an interactive experience that fully immerses guests into a world that was so brilliantly created by LEGO and celebrated by the hugely popular LEGO film franchise from our friends at Warner Bros.,” said Ronchetti. “We can’t wait to see the faces on all the children as they interact within the creative world of Bricksburg and experience the incredible Masters of Flight ride which is taking the traditional soaring-type of ride to new heights.”

On the flagship ride Masters of Flight, guests hop aboard Emmet’s triple decker flying couch for a thrill-seeking adventure. The flying theater attraction whisks guests away on a suspended ride with a full-dome virtual screen, giving

LEGO.com Website Update

LEGO Website Update

If you went to LEGO Shop@Home yesterday, you may have noticed a new splash page for the site. This is one of the updates LEGO has been doing in the background to the site and a pretty major one to say the least. shop.LEGO.com now redirects to LEGO.com itself and all the product pages uses the main domain instead of being a subdomain. I found out yesterday before our affiliate network sent out an email to tell us about the changes.

The splash page is separated into two sides, the shopping side and the Play Zone which is geared towards kids. This is where the old LEGO.com went to and is filled with games and videos for kids to explore.

This new change seems to be a good idea since people who go to LEGO.com is more than likely looking to do some shopping and this takes away any confusion people may have when going there.

LEGO Disney Minifigures Series 2 (71024) Complete Box Now Available on Shop@Home

LEGO has put up a product listing for a complete box of the Series 2 LEGO Disney Collectible Minifigures (71024) on Shop@Home. I believe this is the first time ever that LEGO has done that for any minifigure series. The box goes for $239.99 and if nothing has changed, it’ll have two complete sets of 16 minifigures. I’m not sure if LEGO will be doing this again for future minifigure releases or not but it’s nice to see something different.
