LEGO DC Comics Collectible Minifigures (71026) Confirmed Price Increase on Shop@Home

A few weeks ago, I reported that the price for the LEGO DC Comics Collectible Minifigures (71026) would be raising to $4.97 at Walmart and I can now also confirm that they have also been raised on Shop@Home. For those who didn’t think it was true, LEGO has listed the product page and it clearly shows that each minifigure pack will be $4.99 each and will be released on January 1.

Again, I’m not sure why the price increase but fans aren’t happy about it. This change will definitely affect buying decisions as some before would just purchase a whole box to forgo feeling for each one. Thanks to David for the heads up.

Universal Pictures in Talks with LEGO to Develop New Film Properties

It looks like we can expect some more LEGO movies coming to the big screen in the near future. Variety is reporting that Universal Pictures is in talks with The LEGO Group to develop new film properties based on the bricks.

LEGO themed movies have been pretty popular in the past few years with such movies as The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie however there were also some misses like The LEGO Ninjago Movie and The LEGO Movie 2 whose numbers didn’t live up to expectations.

There’s still another LEGO movie announced back in 2015 called The Billion Brick Race that is supposedly still being worked on. There hasn’t been any news on that since last year when it was reported that the movie was losing its director.

With LEGO films also comes sets based on the movies so that also opens up the portfolio as to what LEGO wants to do. What film properties would you like to see in LEGO form?

LEGO FORMA Koi (81000) Available on Shop@Home UK

Here’s something that popped up on UK LEGO Shop@Home which may be of interest for some of you. LEGO is now selling their Indiegogo project LEGO FORMA Koi (81000) on Shop@Home UK for pretty much retail price. I’m not sure when it became available or how many they have in stock but if you missed out on supporting the project last year, you can now get one. Note that it is only available in the UK which is kind of weird but I assume they had some left over when the set shipped out to backers. Thanks to Garrett for the heads up.

LEGO Masters Shopping Bag (5006068) Promotion Now Live

LEGO has kicked off a new promotion on Shop@Home for the LEGO Masters Shopping Bag (5006086) that I talked about before. You can get it for free with any purchase until December 24, while supplies last. They are the reusable kind with the thick plastic material similar to the bags for San Diego Comic Con and it features the LEGO Masters logo on both sides. This promotion is also available at LEGO Brand Stores as well.

LEGO Powered Up 3.0 Coming Soon

Last year, LEGO launched the LEGO Powered Up system and soon, they will be releasing the newest update for it which is LEGO Powered Up 3.0. One of the major changes to it is that it will support the latest LEGO Technic hardware. For those who have multiple hubs, you will be able to connect up to four hubs. Plus there’s a slight UI change and it’ll be cleaner and easier to use.

Ready for an early Christmas present? We are super excited to reach this milestone in our digital system in play, with LEGO Powered Up 3.0. With this update we hope to further empower your creativity and enable all of you to rebuild the world. Also, we have a fresh new look!

What’s new?

For those of you that have more than one hub, good news, you are now able to connect, address, code, and control multiple hubs (up to four actually).

The app now fully supports the new LEGO TECHNIC hardware. You are now able to connect the new LEGO TECHNIC hub, and use the internal tilt sensor, as well as the new LEGO TECHNIC motors. For the real techy ones, the app can read values from internal sensors (orientation (X, Y, Z), and acceleration (X, Y, Z) of the TECHNIC Medium Hub (Hub128). From the app you can pair motors on port AB, and CD. The app also supports the TECHNIC Large Linear Motor (Motor no. 2) and TECHNIC XL Linear Motor (Motor no. 3). From the app you can regulate power,
