LEGO Ideas Treehouse (21318) Revealed

You may have probably seen images of the upcoming LEGO Ideas Treehouse (21318) set floating around the internet the past few days. I held off on reporting on it but now that it has become available for purchase at the Grapevine LEGOLAND Discovery Center, I’ve decided to talk about it since everyone else is too. It was a legitimate purchase by our friend Michael Bradford as it was promiently displayed when you walk in the store. The set has 3,036 pieces and it cost $200.

One of the features of the set include a number of leaf pieces that are made from the Plants from Plants initiative and there’s even a second set of leaves to switch out to an autumn setting.

LEGO Star Wars Sith Trooper Bust (77901) SDCC 2019 Exclusive Revealed

LEGO Star Wars Sith Trooper Bust (77901)

Today is the Star Wars reveals for San Diego Comic Con 2019 and LEGO has revealed the last exclusive that will be available for attendees with the Sith Trooper Bust (77901). The set has 484 pieces and will be available for purchase at the LEGO booth for $45 to whoever gets chosen for the lottery.

Update: I’ve been directed to the bottom right corner which states this set is an “Early Release Edition” so it’s possible that it could be released again later on. If so, my bet is at Target since they did the Darth Vader Bust and plus they like to sell products that have red color variants.

New LEGO VIP Program Now Live

LEGO VIP 2019

The new LEGO VIP Program is now live and there are some new things to look forward to including exclusive rewards and sweepstakes. First off, all the VIP points you had are now converted to points to use to redeem items in the rewards center. Some of these items include art prints and exclusive promotional items like the VIP set as well as the LEGO DC Super Heroes Bat-Pod which costs 15,000. As you can see from the image below, I redeemed it using my points but it seems to be glitchy as I should’ve received a promo code to use during checkout but I didn’t get it. I’ve already contacted customer service to see what they say about it.

There are now more ways to earn points besides just making purchases. Some of these things include social media activities like retweeting or sharing posts as well as just clicking on emails that come in from LEGO. Points from your purchases are converted as follows:

US $1 = 6.5 points
CAD $1 = 5 points
£1 = 8 points
€1 = 7.5 points
AU $1 = 4.5 points
NZ $1 = 4 points
10 zl = 1.5 points
1 DKK = 1 point

Points are earned on eligible purchases. Eligible purchases are defined as any service or merchandise available for purchase, excluding gift cards. Points will be earned on purchases made with gift cards at the time the gift card is redeemed. Please note, shipping and taxes are excluded from earning points.
