Today is the last day to pre-order sets for the BrickLink AFOL Designer Program. As of right now, a majority of the models will be created and only a handful haven’t been fully funded yet. Remember you also get free shipping for the sets that you back. After today, the packaging stage will begin and they will start shipping out in May.
LEGOLAND California has premiered its newest 4D film at the park called LEGO City 4D – Officer in Pursuit! Like with previous shows at the park, the new 12 minute movie uses 3D animation and used 4D real-world effects including wind, bubbles, and water to immerse families into the film. Admission to LEGO City 4D is included with your park pass.

(Apr 12, 2018) – The popcorn was flying and sirens wailing as LEGOLAND® California Resort premiered its newest interactive, 4D film, “LEGO® City 4D – Officer in Pursuit!” VIP guests in attendance were treated to an exclusive first look of the laugh-out-loud short film featuring LEGO® City Police Officers in a crazy chase across town, searching for the mischievous crook. The new movie combines 3D computer animation with 4D real-world effects like wind, bubbles, and water– taking families along for the ride across the LEGO® City metropolis in this newest action-packed adventure.
The new Spring 2019 LEGO Star Wars sets were released a few weeks ago and now Amazon has pretty much put every set on sale including the Action Battle sets as well as a majority of the 20th Anniversary Edition sets.

Many of you have asked for it and I’ve finally had some time to go to the LEGO Store to get the May 2019 Store Calendar. Like with some of the recent calendars, there are no promotional items listed along with some events. The main thing for May is the upcoming May the 4th event starting on the first week.
May 1-31: Double VIP Points on select sets at vip.lego.com.
May 3-6: May the 4th celebratin with special offers and in-store building event. Details of the building event will be available on April 15. In-store registration is required and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
April 22 June 2: Build Your Microfighter! In-store building event to display your build on the store shelf.

If you’ve been in LEGO for a while, you may have seen MOCs by Carter Baldwin. I first met Carter a few years ago during Philly Brick Fest and he’s a really cool guy with tons of talent. One of my favorite builds of his is the Alien Queen from earlier this year but he also does great work on a variety of vehicles. Where I’m going with this is that Carter has announced that he has been hired on by LEGO as a Product Designer in Denmark. Although he didn’t state what theme he will be working on, I’m sure that there will be some good stuff coming to LEGO soon. Again, LEGO does notice regular fans who has fantastic builds and talent and will continue to hire them if they work hard enough.
If you’re thinking about redecorating your home, here’s something from LEGO that may be of interest. At the end of the month, they will be releasing some Wall Hanger Sets that you can pre-order now. Each set comes with three different color and sized 1×1 round plates that act as wall hangers. The sets are $9.99 each and they will be released on April 30.
The LEGO Wall Hanger Set are colorful upscaled LEGO elements. The multifunctional LEGO iconic shaped wall hangers fit in any room and can be arranged in numerous combinations. Use them as coat hangers or for a fun and playful wall decoration in the kid’s room. Each set includes 3 different sizes; small, medium, large.
Today was the big day for Star Wars fans as the teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker was released. This movie is the culmination of the Skywalker saga that started over 40 years ago and it’ll be in theaters this December. The teaser shows some pretty cool scenes but the ending gives off an impression that a certain Sith Lord has returned. Based off what you’ve seen so far, what do you think we’ll be getting from LEGO later this year?
