The 2019 New York Toy Fair kicks off this weekend and LEGO has already revealed some new The LEGO Movie 2 sets that are coming out this spring. With these three new ones, it brings a grand total of 28 to the line which is pretty substantial for a movie theme. Check out the details of the sets below.

LEGO Ninjago March of the Oni Teaser Images

The 100th episode of LEGO Ninjago – Master of Spinjitzu is coming soon and LEGO has teased some ominous images of what we could be expecting in the upcoming season. In the main image, it shows March of the Oni which is the story arc name and the caption states, “Endings will always come…all we can do is fight to make them good ones.” Could this mean the end of LEGO Ninjago in its current form? The captions on the character images also show that something bad could be happening to the ninjas.

We already know that the Hageman Brothers have left the series as writers and Bragi Schut has taken the reigns. What do you think will happen with LEGO Ninjago in the March of the Oni?

LEGO Ideas The Flintstones (21316) Teaser

LEGO has released the first teaser for the upcoming LEGO Ideas The Flintstones (21316). The clip shows the Flintstone mobile zooming by with minifigures of Fred, Wilma, Barney, and Betty sitting in it. This means the official reveal of the set should be coming really soon so stay tuned.

The LEGO Movie 2 Video Game Prophecy Pack DLC Revealed

The LEGO Movie 2 Video Game comes out in a few weeks and we already have a first look at one of the free DLCs for the game via Steam. The DLC is called the Prophecy Pack which includes characters from the first LEGO Movie such as Young Vitruvius, Pajama Emmet, Lord Business, Shakespeare, Cleopatra, and Classic MetalBeard. It is not known at this time if the Prophecy Pack is exclusive to Steam or if other systems will get it in the future.

Play as your favorite film characters from the first LEGO Movie. The character pack includes Young Vitruvius and the unsuspecting Emmet in his pajamas. Kragle-loving Lord Business is also in the pack along with other memorable characters Shakespeare, Cleopatra, and Classic Metal Beard.

The LEGO Movie 2 Video Game is set to be released on February 26 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam while the Nintendo Switch version comes out on March 26. The only pre-order bonus I know of is the Star-Stuck Emmet (30620) when you pre-order from GameStop.

This means you can earn VIP points a bit faster on some newer sets which also includes the Collectible Minifigures (71023) if you’re looking for the whole set of 20 and the Accessory Set (853865) which includes the sewer babies.

The LEGO Movie 2 Estimated to Open Lower Than Expected

The LEGO Movie 2 has been promoted heavily the past few months and it opens this weekend but the estimated earnings may fall short of what Warner Bros. was expecting. Variety is reporting that TLM2 will debut with an estimated $31 million which will be the third worst out of the LEGO movies that have been released in theaters so far. Warner Bros. estimated that the movie will debut around $50 million this weekend but forecasts fell short with it only taking in $8.5 million on Friday.

One of the reasons why The LEGO Movie 2 opened lower than estimated is because of the crazy weather that the US is having right now. Some places are still raining and snowing and people would rather stay home than risk going out in that kind of weather.

Another reason could be that people maybe burned out of LEGO movies. This is the fourth movie in five years which included a break in 2018 but it’s still quite a few in a short amount of time.

I’ve heard mixed reviews of TLM2 but more positive than negatives. The most common one is that it’s a good movie but not at good as the first one which is typical for movies with sequels. I’ll be checking it out again tomorrow to see if there’s anything I missed the first time around.

LEGO xtra LEGO Brick Stickers (853921) Official Images

There’s something interesting that has showed up on LEGO’s servers this morning. It is for the LEGO xtra theme and they are the LEGO Brick Stickers (853921). There are five sheets of random stickers that fit with a City layout along with 17 pieces for the signs and billboards to apply them to. Most fans detest stickers on sets but these LEGO Brick Stickers look pretty good and they do enhance the play experience. I assume they will be available in March at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home.
