LEGO has revealed the newest LEGO Creator Expert set with the Ford Mustang (10265). This set has been leaked on social media for about a week now but we have the full details of it. The Ford Mustang is set to release on March 1 for $149.99 and it contains 1,471 pieces. The cool thing about the Mustang is that it is able to convert to the muscle car version by switching out the engine and adding some side exhausts and rear spoiler while raising up the back wheels. A week ago, LEGOLAND California opened up The LEGO Movie 2 Experience for families to check out. It is basically a replica of the actual LEGO “set” that was used in a few scenes for TLM2, similar to what LEGOLAND has for the first movie. In addition, if you go there is weekend, February 23-24, LEGOLAND will also be doing The LEGO Movie Days which are more activities to do. I’ll be heading out on Saturday so expect some close up images of The LEGO Movie 2 Experience shortly after. Check out the press release that was sent to us.

LEGO Retail Design Team Wants Adult Shopper Insights

If you have a few extra minutes, LEGO is running a survey to learn more about shoppers at LEGO Brand Stores and LEGO Certified Stores. The insight could help enhance the shopping experience at LEGO Stores by implementing some of the things that were suggested in the survey.

The LEGO® Retail Design team is very excited to hear from adults about their shopping experiences and expectations and how we can make the experience even better! Around the world there are different types of LEGO Stores (LBR and LCS) with the goal of providing an inspiring, interactive, creative and fun experience for kids and adults alike.

Whether you visit a LEGO Store every day or have never even seen one, it is important to know what adults expect and desire from a visit. Your feedback will be considered when designing the future LEGO Store experience.

Working with adult fans of LEGO, the LEGO Retail Design team has created a short survey and with the hope that you can take a few minutes to share your thoughts. Your insights will help to make visiting a LEGO Store a truly memorable event!

Just like a LEGO creation, each person offers a different and unique perspective so, the survey is open to anyone and everyone with the hope that thousands of adults from around the world share their ideas.

The Survey is anonymous and available in both English and Simplified Chinese. Survey closes March 20, 2019.

LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary New Edition Exclusive Minifigure Revealed

LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary New Edition

Amazon has updated their listing for the LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary: New Edition to show an image of the exclusive minifigure that will be coming with it. The image now shows Finn in a Bacta Suit which is seen in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. This version of Finn is not in any set so completionists will want to get this book for the minifig, unless you just get it by itself on the secondary market. LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary: New Edition is slated to come out this April but you can pre-order it now at a 33% discount.

Thanks to everyone who emailed in about it. I saw it earlier today but I was swamped at work so I couldn’t post about it.

Chris McVeigh Joins the LEGO Creator Expert and Architecture Teams

Even though it’s still early morning, here’s your LEGO feel good story of the day. If you’ve been in the LEGO community on social media the past few years, you may have heard the name Chris McVeigh, aka PowerPig, float around. One of his most popular builds are the Brick Sketches of various characters that have been featured by LEGO before. Yesterday, he has announced that he has been hired on to the LEGO Creator Expert and Architecture teams and will begin work starting in March. This just goes to show that LEGO still continues to take notice of fan creations and you have a chance to get hired on if you work hard enough. I can’t wait to see what Chris has in store for us in the near future.
