LEGO has announced a new theme called LEGO FORMA that is aimed towards adults who are looking for an engaging way to connect with their creative side. For the first time ever, they are using Indiegogo to launch this new pilot project and there will be a series of pilot sets/themes that are planned on various sites and formats next year to float their ideas.
The New York Climate Week is currently going on and to celebrate the event, LEGO has released another set from “Out of the Vault” with the LEGO Creator Vestas Wind Turbine (10268). The set contains 826 pieces which is a bit more than the original 4999 version from 2008 and it retails for $199.99. There will be no VIP early access for the set and it will be available starting on Black Friday, November 23. One thing to note is that the 4999 version was only available to Vestas employees but you can now get your hands on it soon.
For those who missed out on the Walmart exclusive LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Truck (4000030) at the beginning of the year, it is now available again for purchase online. Like before, it retails for $19.97 and it is more of a collector’s set than one that you open and build. No word on how many are available at this time but let’s assume that it is pretty limited considering the other two 60th anniversary sets are still out of stock.
The Toys R Us Canada Bricktober 2018 flyer has been released and it shows the dates of the promotional sets that will be available during the event. Starting on October 5, you can get an exclusive LEGO minifigure theme set with any LEGO purchase of $75 or more for each week of Bricktober.
October 5-11: LEGO Ninjago (5005257)
October 12-18: LEGO Jurassic World (5005255)
October 19-25: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (5005256)
October 26-November 1: LEGO Harry Potter (5005254)
There are also some Bricktober 2018 Make and Take events happening as well. On Saturday, October 13, there is a LEGO Jurassic World Triceratops build. On Saturday, October 27, there is a LEGO Harry Potter Mini Flying Ford Anglia. Both events are scheduled for 11am-1pm with a max of 150 sets per build, per store.
As for us here in the US, we still don’t have any confirmation of where the Bricktober 2018 sets will be available except for the LEGO Harry Potter set being at Barnes & Noble. There’s no word yet on the purchasing limit at this time at B&N.
The LEGO DC Super Villains video game releases in a few short weeks and earlier today, Arthur Parsons did a livestream at EGX and he has “accidentally” revealed the all the playable characters in the base game. It took me a while to compile this list of character names with the help of some friends and below is what we came up with. Some of the character we guessed on so we know they could be incorrect. Let us know if you see any errors and I’ll fix them later.
Remember that the Deluxe Edition of the game will also have the Season Pass which includes the DC Super-Villains: TV Series DLC Character Pack along with the Justice League Dark DLC Character Pack. Also included is the exclusive LEGO Lex Luthor Superman minifigure.

As we know by now, LEGO has recently released some accessory packs that can be found at LEGO Brand Stores for a new theme called LEGO XTRA and it looks like there will also be some playmats that kids can enjoy as well. Costing $7.99 each, there are three playmats with a Road, Sea, and Park. There are two playmats in each box and there are also some LEGO elements as well.
If you’re looking for a storage solution for your LEGO elements, Amazon currently has a sale on the Stack-On DS-60 which is the 60 drawer storage cabinet. It is going $26.39 which is 19% off the normal and it hasn’t been at this price since May so it’s fairly hard to find it on sale under $30. I want to also mention that the Akro-Mils cabinets are also on sale but the deals aren’t as good as the one for the Stack-On.
