LEGO Bricktober 2018 Sets Revealed

A few months ago, I reported on some rumored LEGO Bricktober 2018 sets and it looks like we now have a first look at the sets that come from a German Toys R Us flyer. There will be four sets in the wave and they include various LEGO themes including LEGO Harry Potter (5005254), LEGO Jurassic World (5005255), LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (5005256), and LEGO Ninjago (5005257).

The LEGO Harry Potter set will include minifigures of Madam Rolanda Hooch, Professor Horace Slughorn, Dolores Umbridge, and Boggart Snape.

THe LEGO Jurassic World set will have Ian Malcolm, Claire Dearing, Owen Grady, and a small velociraptor.

The LEGO Ninjago set will have characters from the Sons of Garmadon storyline.

Finally the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes set will have War Machine, Wong, Tony Stark with the Mark 50 arc reactor, and White Wolf/Bucky.

There’s no word yet if the LEGO Bricktober 2018 sets will be available outside of Toys R Us but if you look closely at the sets, you’ll notice that there is no Toys R Us printing like with sets from previous years so it makes me think that they will be available elsewhere.

LEGO DC Super-Villains Video Game Story Trailer

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released the story trailer for the upcoming LEGO DC Super-Villains Video Game. The trailer tells the story of how Darkseid is trying to take over the planet and it is up to the other DC Super-Villains to stop him.

LEGO DC Super-Villains will be available on October 16 and if you get the Deluxe Edition, you also get the DC Super-Villains TV Series Character Pack. In addition, you’ll also get the LEGO Lex Luthor Superman minifigure.

LEGO Overwatch Gamescom 2018 Teaser

LEGO has revealed the first teaser for the LEGO Overwatch theme which will be announced at Gamescom 2018. The teaser some of heroes that we can expect as minifigures including Widowmaker, Reinhardt, Genji, Soldier 76, Mercy, and McCree. In addition, some of the stages shown are Watchpoint Gibraltar, Hanamura, and Dorado so we can probably expect those as the buildable sets. Stay tuned as we’ll most likely be seeing something tomorrow.

LEGO Star Wars Betrayal at Cloud City (75222) Officially Announced

After much speculation, LEGO has officially announced their next LEGO Star Wars set with the Betrayal at Cloud City (75222). Retailing for $349.99, the set has 2,812 pieces and will be available for LEGO VIP members starting on September 13 and to the general public on October 1. The LEGO Ninjago SDCC 2018 panel was pretty exciting for those who attended last month as well as those who were following my live tweets that day. You can now watch most of the panel on YouTube as LEGO has uploaded a majority of what we saw there in person. The panel consisted of LEGO senior designer Michael Svane Knap, Brent Miller, Vincent Tong, Kelly Metzger with Ninjago co-creator Tommy Andreasen hosting. Unlike previous years, the video shows pretty much everything that was shown on the screen, including the clips that we were told not to record, so it’s worth a watch if you have time.

LEGO BrickHeadz Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Now Available

LEGO announced that the new LEGO BrickHeadz of Mickey Mouse (41624) and Minnie Mouse (41625) are now live over on Shop@Home. Disney is celebrating the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse and lots of collectibles are available starting today including the BrickHeadz which go for $9.99 each.

Rumored LEGO Vestas Wind Turbine Re-Release

Way back in 2008, LEGO released a LEGO Vestas Wind Turbine (4999) promotional set and there’s rumors that the set may be re-released to commemorate the launch of the sustainable bricks initiative. Brick Fanatics is reporting that the Vesta Wind Turbine could be returning later this year in the LEGO Creator Expert line. Since LEGO has invested in wind turbines towards their goal of using 100 percent renewable energy by 2020, it’s not that big of a surprise that LEGO will want to promote it more.
