LEGO Named 2018 Most Reputable Company in EU5 Countries

The Reputation Institute has done a recent survey and has announced that LEGO is the most reputable company in 2018 across the EU5 countries. Topping the E5 RepTrak rankings which include Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the UK, LEGO was named the company with the best reputation overall over other companies such as Bosch, Rolex, Sony, and Samsung. One of the main reasons why LEGO has named the most reputable company in the EU5 was its commitment to building a strong corporate brand and investment in corporate social responsibility. I’m back with another great deal on a LEGO set that’s on sale over on Amazon. The LEGO Creator Brick Bank (10251) from 2016 is currently sale for $145.70 which is 14% off the retail price. We normally don’t get discounts on these type of direct-to-consumer sets, except for using VIP points, so getting anything off is a good deal for us. Since this is an older set, it might be getting to the point where it may be retiring soon so now is the perfect time to pull the trigger on it if you’ve been holding off.

If you’ve been waiting to pick up the LEGO Creator Pirate Roller Coaster (31084) but held off due to the fairly high price, Amazon currently has it on sale. As of this writing, it is going for $72 which is 20% off the retail price of $89.99. The set is a 3-in-1 set which allows you to build two other models but some fans may be using the parts to build a larger roller coaster using the relatively new track pieces. If the Pirate Roller Coaster isn’t your cup of tea, there are a number of other LEGO Creator sets on sale as well.

LEGO and Tencent Games Announce LEGO Cube

LEGO has announced that they have teamed up with Tencent Games to release a new game called LEGO Cube. This is the first branded mobile for China and it is a sandbox-type game that is developed and ran by Tencent, who also runs other popular games such as League of Legends PUBG Mobile, and features LEGO bricks and properties. Releasing by the end of 2018, LEGO Cube will provide a fun and safe digital environment for kids to play in China.

LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary Review

The LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary has been recently released and Penguin Random House was kind enough to send over a review copy of the book. If you’re not familiar with the Visual Dictionaries, it is basically a guide of of all the LEGO sets and minifigures of a certain theme. The book has 128 pages and retails for $21.99 but as of this writing, it is on sale on Amazon for $14.71.

LEGO BrickHeadz Thanksgiving Turkey (40273)

The official images of the last 2018 LEGO BrickHeadz Seasonal sets have have been uploaded to LEGO’s servers and they are the Thanksgiving Turkey (40273) and the Christmas Mr. Claus & Mrs. Claus (40274). The Turkey has 114 pieces and will retail for $9.99 while Mr. Claus & Mrs. Claus will be a 341 piece two-pack retailing for $19.99. Both sets will be available starting on October 1.

Captain Marvel Official Trailer Released

The new Captain Marvel trailer dropped this morning and the internet went into a frenzy of what was shown. Set in the mid 1990s, the story follows Carol Danvers who becomes Captain Marvel after joining a Kree military team called Starforce. She finds her way back home as a shapeshifting species called Skrulls start to invade Earth.

As for any LEGO Captain Marvel sets that could be coming, I have a guess that we may get one or two sets based on the movie similar to what LEGO did with Black Panther and Ant-Man. As for what I want to see in a set, of course, I want an updated Captain Marvel minifigure, perhaps in her Starforce outfit with the mask and mohawk. Also a couple of Skrull minifigures would be nice as we don’t have official ones of them yet.

Are you guys excited for Captain Marvel and what she would be bringing to the aftermath of Avengers: Infinity War? Captain Marvel will be in theaters March 8, 2019.
